That was exactly my first thought when I heard Sanford was hurt.

Corbeil is a 2010 CBJ draft pick.

I figure Howson will sign Denis or Leclaire to a PTO.

Is there any choice... I've seen two of three out before (look up jr. player Biron number 00 around '95 ?) but it's rare...

Sanford is probably injured but the timing amazes me, all of a sudden the pressure for deciding who starts Tuesday is gone. Let's hope Arniel doesn't eat any bad shell fish for dinner tonight...

From Puck Rakers:

Blue Jackets GM Steve Howson confirmed that Sanford was injured in a text message to The Dispatch. No other details were available.

Words hurt.

I was thinking about this yesterday.
It seems that we sign or trade for players that are decent before they get to Columbus, and they are decent after they leave Columbus. They just stink or underperform while they are actually IN Columbus. Therefore...

Can we rename the team the Hilliard / Dublin / Worthington / Gahanna / Grove City / Groveport / Westerville / Reynoldsburg / UA / Obetz / Grandview or Clintonville Blue Jackets? Even just make them the Ohio Blue Jackets?

Maybe the hockey gods got drunk after an OSU game and lost their girlfriends to football players in C-town, or had a bad acid-trip here once, or lost a lot of money investing with Blackwell. They have to hate us for some reason, maybe if they think the team moved they would leave us alone.

We have to think outside the box, because nothing we are trying is working right now.

All good thoughts but in the end the hockey gods and prison issues are just excuses. Me thinks ownership is the best place to start… and that includes the real problem, the power man Mike Priest.

Who's Steve Howson?

And, at this rate, how long until we're ordering Marty Turco CBJ jerseys?

Yahoo says that GMSH's Twitter says Corbeil will be returned to St. John's following tomorrow night's game.

Subliminal... Rakers has Steve on their mind but where told Steve was off limits in the media and simply blew it. That said, Howson and Steve do have something in common..

Not quite.

He will be returned to Saint John, New Brunswick.

St. John's, Newfoundland has an AHL franchise.

That's it ... we're trading Derick Brassard straight up for the rights to Pascal Leclaire..

Just because we can.

Easy for you to say swimming in those blue waters...

You need to convince Priest that Gary Glitter part two scores goals... even the OSU band plays it!

Oh, trust me, the sarcasm was laid on pretty heavily there. Maybe a little too heavily...

I forgot about York. Corbeil is our FIFTH string goalie.

Who's the CBJ's "emergency" goalie if both Mason and Corbeil go down? (By emergency, I mean skater that gets to don pads if all else fails. I know it's happened in the NHL before.)

They would sign someone to a one day or short term contract before they would put a skater in net.

Matt the Mask. Basically because he has the mask already.
