So when Krejci comes back do you think he goes back to that line? Or has Seguin claimed ownership?
Tough to say, and we all have the same question.
You see, our second line is pretty solid with
Marchand-Bergeron-Peverly, so its almost like Seguin only has a choice of 1st or 3rd lines and Julien is very set in his ways, trying not to break up the firs.t
But how do you put a kid leading the team and scoring and proving he can handle a top line role on the third line with the players who are essentially extras?
The only other option would be to let Seguin play on Krejcis wing but then either Horton or Lucic get dropped to the third...which also doesn't seem logical.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Do I think Seguin has secured a spot on a scoring line? Yes. But I cannot answer where I think that will be as that means someone else has to move.

Just my 2 cents, but even as good as he has been in the past couple of seasons Krejci has never struck me as a real #1 center. I loved the depth down the middle when they had Savard, because they could put each of those players in a position that seemed natural -- Savard as the #1 pivot, Krejci as the #2 supporting scorer, Bergeron as a damned good #3 two-way guy, and last year Campbell as a pretty good #4.
IMO, if Seguin keeps this up, he's the natural choice for the top line. Magic happens when he has the puck. I'd hesitate to move Krejci all the way to the 3rd line, but that's how it would have to shake out if they really want that 2nd unit to stay together. And it might be good for Krejci, coming off an injury, to limit his minutes and exposure to top defensive pairings.

See, I agree.
Everyone is all over Horton and Lucic for bad play. But Lucic is hurt and Horton is coming off a head injury.
So why woud you leave two injured players together on the top line? Thats a coaching issue in my eyes...
Now, que Krejcis return, throw him back in and you have three injured players on your top line.
But, unfortunately, I think thats how its going to be...
I truly hope Im proven wrong. Seguin deserves to be higher than the third.
Yeah, it is weirdly quiet around here today... what gives?
Not much to complain about or discuss that hasn't really been discussed in the last few days between games. I think everyone is just ready for this game tonight so see if the win streak can continue, and more importantly if certain players can either step their game up or keep it going.
