The kind that gets stuck baby-sitting the league's ill-adopted foster child.

OMG!! I cant believe you guys actually think that way!! First of all its his fault if the team s**ks!!! And he has no rights what so ever to SLEEP in the middle of the game. Did the Detroit Tigers manager sleep his way throught games last year when the team was much worse then the expos this year?? If Robinson just had a little respect towards his players they would actually want to play for him. Its all hopeless anyways, that ahole Selig wont let this team stay where it belongs .

He's coaching a minor league team. There's only one 2 good players on that team. Livan Hernandez(97 ), and Jose Vidro. Tigers were bad but they were still close in some of the games, the Expos just get destroyed.

It's not opinion on my part, merely a commentary on the state of that franchise. I can't believe you'd use Frank Robinson as a scapegoat for what is the fault of so many other people in high places. This guy left his job as commissioner to take over the Expos. Talk about taking one for the team (although he may have willingly taken the opportunity to get out of the office and back on the bench).

That franchise is the poster child for the shady underbelly of baseball. Their shortcomings as a team today have everything to do with a decade or so worth of improper location, poor commitment from ownership (Lurie), and league-wide imbalance of revenue, and nothing to do with the guys - or even the manager - that take the field or catch some ZZZ's while Youppi dances around the Big O. It so easily gets buried between the McGwire-Sosa, Bonds, Yankee-Red Sox and Cubs-Cardinal crap, etc. By the way, the worst thing Selig could do is permit the Expos to remain in Montreal as long as the league works as it does (and even Mr. Dylan would admit the times are not a-changin'). That is the travesty.

As for Robinson, I didn't see the clip of him sleeping, but would like to think taking a siesta during a game is something a manager of a team at any level would try to avoid. Then again, it never did Casey Stengel any harm - or so the story goes.

Not about his team stinking, it's all about being involved in a long baseball season which is a bit draining. Frank's an old man, so him falling a sleep during a baseball near the end of a season isn't a big deal. Being that his team can't sniff the playoffs this moment is probably not helping his energy levels at the moment too.

Made for great comedy on ESPN, though

Robinson is the main reason why the Expos aren't going anywhere this year ... even though they are about to go by the Mets

oh wow .. typical homer-ignorance

Robinson never intended on managing this team if not for MLB practically getting on their knees for him.

All I can say is that the Expos are the closest thing to actually seeing a real life movie team, they just need the Wild Thing and everything will be ok................
