I love the no nonsense approach Martinez uses on the PP. He sees the traffic and takes the shot. Now, the reason I love it is because he's very effective getting his shot through.

Don't want to go overboard yet, but I'm about 75% sure Richards was the missing piece.

Man, I love that Richards fake to pass on the PP - again.
He has so many variations of it too.
I would be VERY ANGRY if I was a Flyer fan right now.
I legitimately feel bad for them, as he's entertaining to watch.

That is why that was a ******** call on Greene. Stoll gets crosschecked and nothing called. Way worse than the push by Greene.

Big save there by Quickie. That would have been a killer to end the period, and potentially all too familiar.

Clifford on the 4th line is a joke. He has earned a spot on the 3rd line.

Not this season he hasn't. Right now he looks like he belongs on the 4th line.

I didn't really like the idea of Moreau on the 3rd line at first, but he's regularly entering the zone at speed and making good decisions, which is more than what can be said for Clifford.

Umm have you been watching so far this season? He's been horrible. If he played like this last year he would have been sent back to Barrie. this is his first decent game of the year.

He just makes everything look so easy. Calm... then boom!

I've been really impressed. He's a master of the little things...

I love watching Quick play. He's so smooth and deliberate with his saves. None of that flailing and rolling around I see from a lot of goalies.

I love it. If we can play like this throughout the majority of the season (realistically we aren't gonna play like this EVERY game) we are definitely one of the top contenders. Been a long time since I've been this excited about this team.

Anyone missing Doughty tonight? Depth is a beautiful thing.

That happens all the time. Stoll whacked Halak after he had the puck and Huskins came back at him. No harm no foul. No use calling two penalties for every goal mouth scrum (they could if they want). Especially after the Kings got a PP, Stewart did punch Brown but that was a classic Dustin sell, he looked like Ric Flair taking a punch.

Greene's was during the play and every player in the NHL has been told they are going to call stuff involving the head. Greene just refuses to adjust.

Blaming the refs is just dumb about 90% of the time, certainly there is a horrific call about once every 3-4 games. None tonight.

Right now he looks like he barely deserves the ice time he's getting at all let alone any 2nd line talk.

Clifford is a young kid though. These learning curves are expected. I suspect the coaches/management have also told him to have more controlled aggression and he's learning how to rein that in. His reckless style, especially fighting, was fun to watch last year but we want him to stick around for awhile.
