Just heard on 93.7, Letang with a disciplinary hearing for the board on Burmistrov last night. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but that would just be par for the course if he's forced to sit tonight too.

Now I have a funny feeling that the boys are screwed against the Wild (although I am keeping the faith).

Letang can be taken out of that projected lineup as he will no doubt be suspended.

I'm expecting another big loss from the Pens tonight! Get it done Pens, make it 3-3-2!

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw Letang hit the guy into the boards.

"****, he's getting suspended."

Last night our lineup had a cap hit of around 39,800,000. If we lose Letang and put in Streit we're down to about 37,200,000.

We're over 11 million under the cap floor with that roster! Sheesh.

But what about all the grinders!?!?!? Shero is to blame!!!

Our team should have skill players from top to bottom ready to step into bigger roles, salary cap be damned!

That's gross. And the worst part is that it's come off the top of our lineup....

Those are the kind of numbers that we need to keep in mind when complaining about lacking skilled wingers or whatever. Pens need to keep their heads and scrap a win or two. It is a damn shame with the busy schedule and the Pens being so injured, but if they can hold off on completely collapsing, I think they can do pretty well the rest of the way.

This.

Even if we can squeak out a win tonight against the Wild, our games against the Habs on Thursday and NJ on Saturday will be painful, as well as presumably boring as ****.

We are really due for some good news here soon I hope. Orpik has to be getting closer to returning, as well as Crosby and Jeffrey. Who knows about Malkin...

Of course it would be just our luck that one or all of those guys have some kind of setback.

Still, about $10 million more than the cap hit of next year's Pirates lineup.

In all seriousness, the greatness of last year's team, who had setbacks and challenges even greater than this team has now, was that players did not complain, but just stepped up and got the job done. These players need to do that now. Maybe knowing that the cavalry is coming, Malkin and Crosby, is making them not as intense when they knew it was all on them and no one was coming soon last year.

Not exactly the best time to have half the damned salary cap out of the line-up...oi. Ridiculous.
