All positive talk here. The Positive Thread

No negative posts! Only talk positive stuff in here.

Go Habs Go! A good thing is PK looked like the old PK tonight and Price looked better in the 3rd. We'll make the playoffs imo.

We outshoot our opponents, for once. I believe its a matter of time for the goals to get in the net and us to win. Our offense is actually quite potent and will be even more so once Cammalleri comes back.

Cammalleri-Plekanec-Eller
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Kostitsyn
Cole-Gomez-Gionta

This looks like a good offense to me! Two lines that are legit ''2nd lines'' and a decent top line for a well balanced attack. Biggest question is Eller at wing but its hardly a good idea to break up the PDK line. At any rate it will be hard to contain us. Meanwhile the young guys get plenty of ice time so they can get experience while the brass evaluates who is worth keeping. Its costing us games right now but in the long run it might be very beneficial.

And I agree about PK, he had a good game. I think he often tries to do too much to fill the gap left by Hamrlik. Oh Markov, please come back soon!

Outshooting, outchancing and outscoring opponents on ES. Address the speciality teams and Price gets back to form and the Habs are golden.

Pacioretty is awesome.

The Pacioretty-Desharnais-Kostitsyn line was UNREAL tonight.

Also, we completely outplayed the other team and they were extremely lucky to get out of that with a win

GO HABS GO

Pacioretty, Eller and Subban are going to be such an exciting future for this team. Diaz and Emelin have had very solid starts for rookies. Weber is doing very well. Price will get better.

This team is going to be good this season, I am confident.

The future is bright ....

we have not had, in recent memory as many young, talented "core type" players and I have been a HABSFAN since the mid 70's.

Eller is the next Marty Havlet (but better) - Diaz is the next Streit - PK is the next "Denis Potvin" - Price is the next "Lundquist" and Pacioretty is the next "Ryan Smith" Now - the Gomez', Plekanecs, Gionta's and Cammaleri's need to step the **** up to the plate and earn their stripes and push this TEAM over the top and into the playoffs!

i love the Diaz signing. What a pleasant surprise.
Weber is also quite awsome right now, and pleased to see Emelin quickly adapting to the NHL, not surprised, but still very happy its working out, since he seemed like such a pipe dream not to long ago.

Stop trolling, its not funny nor clever.

Started a thread like that last year. Lasted all of 4 pages if I remember correctly. What? Whining is more interesting. Illogical whining - which is most of what you read around here - drives me nuts, which makes me post more. So I guess I'm guilty.

Anyways, when we got campoli instead of signing a UFA in the offseason :lolpgsucks:, I explained that it was because Diaz wasn't ready, emelin wasn't ready, and weber's development wasn't as fast as they had hoped, hence getting some help.

But **** me, weber has stepped it up and even throws the body now and then, Diaz looks better and better by the day and emelin, although not as fast as I hadw hoped, looks fine too. I can safely say that the current defense roster can transition the puck better than 90% of the teams in the NHL. Bit too soft and a bit on the small side but hey, gotta leave something to whine about

I cant believe how illogically negative some posters are in this board.
Even if i know that every loss will lead to a bunch of pro-tanking thread, fire Martin thread, should we trade for X thread...

But come on, at this stage of the regular season, the fifth game of a 82-game campaign, playing the way we did can only lead to a better future than Buffalo's. If you're outshooting that often by that margin (more than 10 shots on average !), you're going to be a very good team.

Obviously, its still one game, but we have the potential to do it, they proved it.

Stop the Negativitiy

The habs have played 2 games in a row that they have deserved to win but it doesn't always work like that. Support the team and don't always suggest the worst case scenario. We have a good team people. Chill out.

GO HABS GO!

haha, love coming on here seeing thread 1: stop the negativity and thread 2: how do you feel about tanking

in all seriousness i am with you, i feel like habs have had 2 strong games and just hope they can get some confidence back, cause if they play like they did last night every night, they will win a lot of games

Yeah the 2nd poster in this thread nailed it, that was hilarious to see.

I also agree with the OP. We're at least shooting this year, good things will almost always come when you actually shoot.

Pacioretty 2nd in the league in shots on goal, behind James Neal. Kid is going toward the right direction!

But don't call him out on it because gray area trolling is alright, calling out a troll is apparently the biggest offense. Don't say I didn't warn you.
