Ps3 and bluray

So, can I use blu ray on PS3 just like game disks, and it can play on my TV? or do I have to hook up to the computer or something?

Yeah, it'll play blu ray movies no problem.

You should watch Avatar in blu-ray. It looks incredible.

I own Clerks on bluray.

I'm really not sure why, since I have it on DVD, but whatever haha

It may not come standard but you'll need an HDMI cable to get the proper value out of Bluray. If you don't know already do not walk into a Best Buy or Future Shop and hand them $100 for one, as you can order them from places like monocables.com for a couple bucks and there is absolutely no difference.

To this day I still am outraged that big stores like that can get away with charging those ridiculous prices for HDMI cables.

In my experience, Best Buy usually has $20 HDMI cables, not $100

It looks exactly the same as the VHS copy, lol.

I actually thought I lost my DVD of it.. thought I lent it to someone but couldn't figure out who. I rebought it, and ended up finding my DVD. Oh well.

Which is still like $15 too expensive (or less depending on the deals you find). The $100 ones are typically their gold-plated Monster Cables which add absolutely nothing to your video quality.

And yeah, the PS3 can act as a blu-ray player no problem. Some countries advertise it as such.
