Indeed that is great news. Though we've fared decent against Ward this year, but not because of his play exactly, he's actually been a big reason they stayed in the hunt for as long as they did. As "weak" as some call our division, our lowest team in the division is 12th in the conference, not bad.

I am hoping so hard we can win this. I know we only need a point but a win would be great for morale. Plus it's in the best interest of Carolina to lose this game since if they're not careful they could wind up with a worse draft pick.

pb1300 is working on the GDT now and I'm sure it'll be great.

Dear Panthers-

Congratulations on making the playoffs after such a long drought. We, the fans, thank you.

Having said that, we're a bunch that has been starved for moments of joy the past decade or so. It would mean a lot to us to be able to leave Saturdays game with our heads up high, cheering a Panthers win and a division title.

After what we've put up with, we deserve it.

An Eastern Conference team has never missed the playoffs with 94 points under this new 3-point format and I'm assuming it really didn't happen under the old format when teams got in with less points (points weren't awarded for shootout wins).

We fell just short of the thread goal, but we certainly earned it.
