Not particularly confident about this game. First roadie against a good team, should be a good test.

Win or lose I want to see this team work as hard as they did against the Panthers. If they can give that kind of effort day in and day out this team will be special.

Based on the price tag Bryzgalov should be infinitely better than Vokoun. Now, lets see what reality is...

Semin snipes a couple, wouldn't be a bad thing if OV shines in this one...

I don't care if they win. I just want them to make it hard for Jagoff to get out of bed tomorrow.

I would also like to see this team continue to do what they did against Florida and build on that effort. I also hope Ovy or some other Cap destroys Jagr, hopefully early in the game to set up momentum. As for Neuvy, I'm not worried about him starting. If Vokoun plays like he did Tuesday night, I rather ride that train to the playoffs, plus I"m a Holtby fan.

I'll say the team doesn't play as well as they have, but Ovy breaks out and puts them on his back with 2+1.

4-2 Caps.

I expect a relatively high scoring affair. 4-3 Caps, 3rd line continues its dominance and Semin/Mojo play well.

Should be interesting tonight, best team we've seen so far IMO. Hopefully that 3rd line tires em out with that beautiful cycle game and our top 6 can put some pucks in the net. I'm interested in seeing how Hamrlik and Schultz play tonight against this high flying team.

Keys to tonight:
- good forecheck all night long, don't allow the Flyers forwards much room when they are in the Caps end of the ice
- Ovie and Brower need to hit from the git go, a solid open ice hit on Jagr by Ovechkin similar to the Olympics would be welcomed
- Green replicate his performance in the Fla. game at the same time avoiding Pronger. Pronger did some damage to Green a few seasons ago
- Vokoun same as Green comments in replicating peformance from the other night

So your third line is pretty good? Should be interesting to see them against the Flyers 3rd line. For the Flyers it has probably been our best cyclers so far. Read is 2nd on the team in points, while Couturier is a monster defensively. Hartnell is pretty much there so our rooks dont get their ***** handed to them but does provide some strength. Third line might change with Schenn being called up though.

Should be a good game. Dont know if it was posted but NHL.com has a good article between two beat writers "arguing" with each other on who is better .

I think we typically use Timonen against Ovi, because of his speed. And Coburn/Meszaros as his linemate because of his strength (and speed, Coby, Mez don't lack that). So don't expect to see a lot of Ovi/Pronger unless it's a Flyer PK

I know Jagr played in Washington for a bit, but why all the hate? Just curious.

He openly admitted that he quit on us.

Of course he didn't return any of the paychecks.

yea...just about every caps player on the team at the time he was acquired hated his guts by the time he left and after he told the new york times that he quit on the capitals some of those players came forward and ripped him big.

4-2 Caps.

Johansson, Ovechkin, Green, Ovechkin

Schenn (rookies always score their first NHL goals VS the Caps), Giroux

120 points; joins Caps, 79 points and misses the playoffs, 77 points and a first-round ouster; team dismantled to the core; then 120 points in NY, and laughs about it... Capitals fans are a little bitter about the whole experience.
