NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

As a player, when things arenít going good and youíre not finishing a game feeling you created a lot of offense as an offensive player, then change is sometimes what you need to get a different look.
But if it was working thereíd be no line changes. Simple.
- Brad Richards

Itís the first year weíre getting to know each other. Sometimes two guys get along out there right away. Sometimes, itís still early in the season.
If we play together at times, we just have to try to make the most of it. You know the lines can change quite a bit here, which everybody is used to.
Who ever is on that line, you just have to try to get it working.
- Marian Gaborik

The way I look at it, I think if youíre going to get guys to get into a routine as a team, I donít think you can keep on changing lines as much as I have.
But itís not one or two guys we need to get going, itís a team thing.
- John Tortorella

First pure afternoon game of the season, wonder if they'll be killers like they have been in seasons past.

Does Torts stick with Hank or go to Biron tomorrow? Gotta say, either decision wouldn't surprise me but I'd go back to Hank tomorrow otherwise risk him dwelling on last night's game.

Really need a 60 minute effort, not even a win, to get the team mentally ready to start taking some games back. With 6 games remaining on this home stand the Rangers need to win AT LEAST 3 otherwise the fire Tortorella people are going to have some legs to stand on. I still think it's too early into the season, but if the Rangers continue on this path it's going to be tough to justify keeping him around.

"It's a process" yeah Torts? How about making a "process" to win one game...then another...then another.

Just show some heart boys

If we lose this game expect fans to really start hitting the panic button.

This is a team we should beat! Anderson in goal I expect 5 goals.

LETS GO RANGERS!

Ottawa has won 4 in the row though. They're getting back on the right track and their PP is pretty lethal. Anderson's play is getting better too.

We always suck against the Sens at home. I'm not liking our chances if we play like dog**** again.

Hehe yep, agreed. I think Dubinsky breaks out and scores his first career hat trick.

The Sens are not a good team, regardless of there recent play. Rangers are due for a breakout game, hopefully we can put it together.

EDIT: those lines are beyond weird, I'm sure they wont last

Nothing could be worse than losing to the Sens when they started Mike Brodeur right?

Just win!

Stepan AND Anisimov are on the 4th line? Cripes. A 6-1 OTL would get the "Fire Torts" brigade going. The scary thing? I wouldn't be surprised if a team that's trying to Fail For Nail like Ottawa completely dismantles us on our home ice after that piss poor last 40 minutes of hockey yesterday.

I see Torts is looking to waste Gaboriks talent. Why the hell would he put Wolski, Christensen, and Gaborik on the same line?

I'm sick of this coach.

LOL...those lines. ‹ber pwnage.

This really is a must win...afternoon game against a below-average team after being embarrassed by another below-average team (although I do believe Toronto will be a low playoff seed this year).

Richards really needs to step it up, I've been very disappointed with his effort thus far this season.

What a pleasure it's been to watch this team just dismantle it's opponents so far this year. That trend continues. Rangers 8 Sens -3.

yes yes I know they suck but I'm in denial so shush .... don't ruin it for me.

Rangers lose 7-0. Lundqvist out for the season with severe cramping. Richards retires.

I actually like those lines. Interested in seeing those guys play with Richie. Gabby can exploit the second line, and we saw he can produce with Christensen. Plus, Christensen, and Wolski are great, if they show up, which might happen due to the competition cause by Gabby

Look, I don't mind EC with Gaborik but why put Wolski on that line? It should be one of them or the other, not both.

Our lines look horrible. I'm starting to think Torts just picks names out of a hat and puts them on lines.
