Cammalleri doesn't have a place on the team anymore now that Tanguay's here. Remember, when moved away from Iginla, Cammalleri looked like a fairly average top six forward. And while he's an excellent playoff performer, that's not exactly a pressing need for the Flames at the moment.

Would rather just trade Babchuk for a pick. Or just put him in the lineup so he can play on the PP and against bottom six forwards, like he's supposed to.

Why trade Babchuk when his value is as low as it will ever be?

When he actually plays good hockey, he wouldn't be up for trade

Babchuck wanted a NTC so he wouldn't be jerked around.

He won't easily waive it. he might if someone promised him a contract for next year. Of course, that would make his trade value close to zero.

Which is pretty much what it is anyway.

The talk on calgary puck right now is that rumour Eklund had about Bourque for Mcdonough and others from NYR.
Personally, I would do this in a heart beat.

Latest Eklund Flames update:

On Calgary and the NY Rangers:

The word is the Rangers want Glencross, and that is not what Feaster is willing to part with. The Flames may turn back to NJ to discuss a deal. Rumors around those two teams seem to focus on Jay Bo.

It was last week or something, I'll look for it. But it just got brought back up when eklund said flames and NYR, before he actually said what it was about.
Jeesh, gimme a break.

Glencross signed a very below market deal in exchange for a NTC.

He won't give that up lightly, if at all.

What about trying Cammalleri at center, if the above mentioned deal took place?

Bourque + Babchuk for Cammalleri

2. Curtis Glencross ($2.550m) / Olli Jokinen ($3.000m) / David Moss ($1.300m)
3. Niklas Hagman ($3.000m) / Mikael Backlund ($1.270m) / Lee Stempniak ($1.900m)
4. Tom Kostopoulos ($0.916m) / Brendan Morrison ($1.250m) / Tim Jackman ($0.550m)

DEFENSEMEN

1. Chris Butler ($1.250m) / Jay Bouwmeester ($6.680m)
2. Mark Giordano ($4.020m) / Scott Hannan ($1.000m)
3. Derek Smith ($0.700m) / Cory Sarich ($3.600m)

Extra - Brett Carson ($0.575m)

On the fence with whether or not to move Bourque. But if traded I would want a good young player like Del Zotto or Turris.

Cammy has no place here anymore and he is no longer a centre.

Bouwmeester to NJ makes no sense to me for the following reasons. If Jersey acquired Bouwmeester, that would severly handicap their ability to resign Parise next offseason. Unless they sent us back players with equal cap hits which have to be a deal fairly similar to the Phaneuf deal (ie. Zubrus, Greene). Feaster has already seen the disasterious effects for such a trade and I find it unlikely for such a move to happen again.

Really, the only realistic trade I could see between the Flames and Devils is a trade involving Jokinen to the Devils. Zajac is out for at least 3 more weeks and it will take some time for him to get up to game speed. Josefson just got hurt and could be out for a while. Elias and Sykora are filling in at centre until the Devils get healthy. Jokinen would be a good fit there IMO. As I previously mentioned, I would offer up Jokinen and Nemisz/Howse for Tendby. Any other parts I would not really be interested in unless Josefson was put on the table.

I think we all are capable of thinking for ourselves and know who was the GM and who the new one is. Spoon feeding not required here.

Totally heh! Well I do not want Glencross moved.... he is just such a solid and hard working player signed for cheap. Bork though is interesting. The one I am curious about is Turris.

I don't even think I would do that deal if you added in your first round pick. Of course that would depend on where you are picking at.

Hmmm, care to add a pick of sorts? Like a first +? Bourque has a few years remaining on his contract

Avs can't give up any more firsts. A second + Barrie is good value for Bourque. FYI, Barrie has come off two dynamite seasons in the WHL and has 4 points in 5 games in the A. Imagine Kevin Shattenkirk, but better.
