Honestly I was just going through the names quickly and looked at him and for some reason it didn't click.

Forgot he isn't an NHL player anymore. Good thing we have cap space.
Whatever it takes to get to the cap floor

Caps resign Mike Green and John Carlson

It's a 2 year 12 million dollar deal(6 million per) for Mike Green

John Carlson gets a 3 year 9 million dollar deal(3 million per)

"The Washington Capitals are very happy to have re-signed our two best RFA's. Both of these players are tremendous two-way defenseman who still have room to grow. We also welcome their great taste in women."

I'm just curious how they negotiated this, given I'm the RFA agent for the Eastern conference and haven't heard a word......

EDIT : Actually, I'm just a giant doorknob and did agree to these. Totally my bad. That's what happens when I leave my glasses in the car and am too damn lazy to go get them....

JETS SHIP OUT ODUYA IN THREE-WAY TRADE

Not as impressive as a Mike Green three-way apparently, but the Jets moved UFA D-man Jonny Oduya to the Predators for a 5th round pick in this summer's draft, then flipped that pick to the Florida Panthers for D Nolan 'Quit Yonking My Chain' Yonkman

Sources say the team wil call up Paul Postma from St. John's to fill Jonny's roster slot.

Tampa Bay would like to announce they have signed recently acquired Tuukka Rask to a 4 year, 3.8M/year deal. We are also still looking to add 2 top 9 forwards.

Unable to acquire a top 6 LW option the Hawks will call up LW Jeremy Morin to fill our 2nd line LW role for year and Rob Klinkhammer to serve as extra skater until end of season (The playoff callups of Pirri , Beach , etc would take priority over him)

:

Brunette-Toews-Sharp
Morin-Kane-Hossa
Bickell-Bolland-Frolik
Carcillo-Kruger-Mayers
(Klinkhammer)

Keith-Seabrook
Hjalmarsson-Leddy
O'Donnell-Montador
(Lepisto)

Crawford
Emery

Hawks top 9 is as good as anyone's and that 4th line has decent offensive talent to go with the defensive aspect

Defensively that is a good 1-6 of all capable NHL dmen and Lepisto is decent depth dman in event of injury

Crawford has shown himself to be real deal and Emery provides experienced backup with playoff experience

Q is great coach

Overall the Hawks are strong and capable of winning it all

We believe we have the best first line in hockey. We have a great 2nd line, and our 3rd line has 2 20 goal scorers and one of the fastest players in the league. Our 4th line has a great combination of ski and grit.

Our defense is filled with top-4 defenseman and we believe we have a franchise defenseman a potential one and another first pair guy.

We also have the best goalie in the world.

Ovechkin-Backstrom-Iginla is better.

Minor trade to announce-

To PIT: Winnipeg's 2010 4th rounder

To WPG: Alex Grant, Boris Valabik

We weren't planning on bringing either of these guys back, happy to get them to a team that can use them.

looking to make some last minutes deals. Looking to add a high end player (forward or defense) MPS + Our 1st round pick can be dealt in this deal.

Might deal Eric Belanger for a 1st round pick if a playoff contender is interested

Totally my bad, both are good - I went looking through my PM's to confirm but didn't have my glasses w/ me, and had trouble making out some of the text.

Yup. I can be JUST that lazy. Living on the 22nd floor means I don't go to the car in the underground garage unless I reaallllly need to....
