Penner was extremely tired at the end of that shift.

Another strong period from the Kings.
Teams are going to have trouble matching up if the 4th line has solid shifts. Third line with some good pressure too.

Much, much better period. Keep it going, team. Put them down to rest for good early in the 3rd.
That save by Quick they just showed again was very Jim Craig-esque from the 1980 Olympics.

I don't recall Quick having to make any tough saves yet.

This is quite random, but I'm really digging the Ethan Moreau signing so far.

Quick is just automatic between the pipes. Really dialed in right now. If he keeps playing like this, he has to get every game, maybe until the next back-to-back set.

He's made some very good saves tonight, nothing spectacular. Coyotes had some clean shots from the slot in the first. Quick has good rebound control tonight.

Moreau's leading the team in hits with limited ice time.
That's my boy!

Me too. Not sure why the Blue Jackets wouldn't want this guy anymore.

Have Westy and Nastybiz had any action yet? I missed the first and if they did who came out on top?

Agree. All heart, making simple plays.
I want to give Penner props, too. Even if he's not on the scoresheet, he's making hustle plays and finishing checks.

Yeah. The key is he's swallowing the puck and not allowing any second chances. The Yotes aren't a creative team and it'll be tough for them to score if they have to do it on the 1st shot only.

Props to Westgarth for a nice pass on that second goal. I didn't think he had it in him.

At first I was sad we missed out on the other Richards, but now I'm loving it. We didn't need the big cap hit and long contract. Just hope the injury bug doesn't come to LA after it is done in Pittsburgh.

He's made saves where saves are expected.

Moreau has been much better on the LW. Him and Stoll have better "chemistry" with every game.
I know people give him ****, but I think Hunter was a good signing too. He's a good option for the 4th line. Westgarth has been strong tonight. He's actually been ahead of the play for once. He's not chasing as much.
