Player of the Game 10/20/11 Isles @ Lightning (STAIOS)

Not too much good to pick from tonight, but let's see who we think played the best.

Any suggestions to be added to the poll are welcome.

Eaton. One of the few solid players out there. Thought he played a great defensive game.

I don't want to add a "none" option, since by season's end our best players during our worst games is something we'll want to look at.

Steve Staois, He was throwing his body all over the place breaking up plays and not making snow angels.

I picked Grabner. He seemed to hustle the most tonight. Staois was a close 2nd.

I can understand the Staois pick, but not picking Tavares is taking his skills and intensity for granted.
Grabs drifted around for 2 periods and then turned it on in the 3rd period.

Consistency of effort it was JT, even though the Bolts were all collapsing on him because he had no help.
Staios was outstanding and 2nd best.
Give Grabs the third place.
Monty honorable mention, he didn't stink, he was left alone.

The rest........ugh.

Besides that unfortunate turnover, I picked Eaton. He played a great game and I almost went out to buy a jersey after he did that sliding block early on. JT was great too and a close 2nd in my book.

I voted for Staios. One of the few bright spots on this team last night. HM's to JT and Eaton.

I'm very happy Staios is getting credit for his work last game. He was the best Islander by a healthy margin IMO.

He's been quite a pickup so far. Very steady.

But seriously, Staios played great, really nice to see he still has something left in the tank.

Agreed him and Eaton both make those sutile plays that nobody gets credit for really. Both of them broke up plays that directly negated scoring chances. Mottau...creates scoring chances by laying down trying to kiss the the ice
