Ouch! If Boston is back in good form by then, those final six games could be ugly!

Wow those 6 game are going to be brutal and a big test for our islanders. I agree with one of the posts above saying we will know alot about this team by Thanksgiving.

Tampa has no depth past Stamkos and St Louis. We hold them off the scoreboard the Isles will win. I see Malone fighting Gillies tonight after Malone cheap shots JT

If the Islanders stay healthy, they should be fine. The team has been playing well thus far with only one line making much of a difference and solid goaltending. When the 2nd line returns to form the Islanders will be a team that other teams fear on their schedule.

I'd say Nino takes his spot and he's traded. See ya. No more laziness accepted on this roster.

Bailey, you're next. Work as hard as you can and nobody will say anything. Coast and you're next on the **** list pal.
Something is going on here and Cappy won't say. It is possible that Comeau is on the block, but then he would not be benched.
Not so easy as to say "see ya". Comeau is an asset, and assets have some value to other GMs when they have shown they can score and have some of the tools that Comeau has. Cappy and Snow really don't want him on the team, then they can always waive him and send him to BPort, risking that he will be claimed going down.
I find that hard to believe after just 3 games. Only a handful of Islanders have scored in 4 games, many more have not.
Comeau is not scratched because he is pleasing the coaching staff, yet after on 3 games a 20+ goal scorer does not get waived or traded for the sake of trading him. If there is a quid pro quo deal out there where we don't get fleeced, we fill and organizational need, and don't take on more salary, it could go down. But it has to work for both teams.
I think it is a combination of Cappy wanted to protect Tavares with Gillies and Comeau not playing up to Coach's satisfaction. He will be back., probably FLA.

It might just be a timing issue. Maybe Cappy benched Comeau for the Ranger game because of his play, then thought that Gillies may be a better fit against Tampa after watching them rough up Tavares. I wouldn't read anything else into it at this point.

Big key will be to stay out of the penalty box. Tampa is too talented offensively to give them a lot of opportunities tonight. Especially when they are struggling so much this season

Yes, noted heavy weights like Steve Downie and Hedman will surely be scared of a guy sitting on a bench who will get thrown out if he comes close to touching them.

Comeau is simply getting benched. Possibly as a precursor to a trade. If the thinking is they need Gillies than our core is a bunch of *******.

People were saying it in the last GDT too. It doesn't even sound good. I dont even want to type it. Its such a stretch to make it sound like hat trick. Just awful.

DP thankfully switched back to a normal style goalie helmet I see. Glad he did, I hated the old school look.
