For an organization filled with a "stockpile of talented, promising blueliners", the preds give up ALOT of easy scoring chances. Does anybody have reports about Ellis FINALLY being ready to come to the big team?? He CAN'T be any worse than what's being put on the ice defensively now.

We at least the Predators don't look as bad as the last game. Luck is not on our side though. At least we will be able to afford Weber with the paycut he is earning himself.

doesn't matter. Fisher is lombardi's replacement remember? Halischuk is supposed to replace Dumont or Sullivan or Ward.

Basically, you can throw around all the stats you want. ON ice product sucks. Poile ****ed up. Get over it.

If you didn't think using a bunch of rookies and untried players isn't the definition for a rebuilding year, then you're delusional. If you thought this was going to be the "BEST YEAR EVER" you need to seriously do some thinking, not everything is sunshine and rainbows my friends. We're just too young to expect a top 4 finish, which is what some of you were projecting. We need to tie down the Big 3 and get all the younger guns playing time so that come next year we can actually have those "BEST YEAR EVER" expectations. But until that time, we're just building up our depth and our own grown talent

It's been ugly early, but there's a long way to go.

No, IL got Wilson's helmet off pretty quick, landed some shots, and then got Wilson's sweater over his head and landed some more shots before the linesmen intervened. Just not a good night for Preds overall.

Tie down the Big 3 after a rebuilding year....now, THAT'S delusional.

I'd like to see Hillen and Ekholm together for a game or two. Laakso has been very disappointing.

Exactly, no need to jump ship just yet. November is usually the proper time to analyze the team to see where we are. That being said, the team severely lacks an attack dog mentality. In games like this you need as many pucks on net as possible, no matter where they're coming from.

I said we NEED to tie down the big three. I said nothing about it being a sure thing, but likely that needs to happen before the midpoint of the year.

I think that's just it. The surprising thing is that the team started the year with a bunch of unproven youngsters and reclamation projects, buying out Dumont and trading Lombardi seemed to be moves to free up cap space to sign some free agents, and in the end, Bergfors was the all that came of it.

The team looks like it's built for a rebuilding year now, but at the end of last season, most in and out of Nashville thought that ownership and management comments indicated that Nashville would be adding firepower.
