I'm sick of watching Eddy. Their trapping is soooooo boring. Eddy games are the only games of the season I don't care to miss...

Oh god Eddy again, if only I had some homework to do, that's much more exciting than watching them play. Can't wait to see them trap some more.

Well thank God for that. My favorite Christmas present this year will be to not have to watch the stupid trap they play for the rest of the year.

I mean, come on, how are they still a team????

If that 1st line doesn't start picking up the pace big time this is gonna be a long year. Seto has been alright but Heater and Mikko need to get it going.

First line has already been split up. I'd be very surprised if we saw them together outside of the PP today, and might not even see it there to get a little more balance between the two.

Russo tweeted about the morning skate. The upshot of it was he thinks Backstrom is starting (even though earlier he tweeted that Harding was likely to get the start).

I don't think the first line was split up. At least not according to KFAN this morning.

I thought I read something about them being on strong-side wings? Isn't off-side wing when you shoot left and play RW? I know that Seto mostly played RW in SJ, but not sure about Heatley.

Edit:

Clearly same #mnwild lineup. Setoguchi moves to RW on top line, Heatley to LW.
per Russo

So we will see the top line together.

During Tuesday's game they were split up, at least in the third period. Butch was playing with Koivu and Heater while Seto/Bulmer played with Cullen and Lats.

It's all Bettman's fault with his Canadian loving ways. If it weren't for him, we'd have another American team in Houston.

I know that the lines were jumbled during Tuesday's game but I was referring to tonight's game.

I think just about everyone here mentioned the hard-trapping style that Eddy tends to play. It's odd that they wouldn't think about changing their strategies up in order to get some more goal-scoring, but what can you do?

My kid brother's JV team runs a more concise system than Edmonton. And their coaches are better too.

I even asked him, "Hey, what'd the coaches say in the locker room? Did they tell you guys to stop pinching so much?" "No. We talked about Call of Duty."

Everything you could possibly want to know should be up in the first post of this GDT, let's kick some ass tonight, I fully expect to see massive domination.

Well if there was ever anything Eddy should be good for it should be getting a lost team back on track.

When you need to work out some frustrations, a punching bag is a good way to go. A punching bag named Eddy.

Of course now that Ive said that, it almost all but guarantees we'll get creamed. Sorry.

Apparently Yeo was pulling aside Koivu and damn near everyone else on the Wild for 1-on-1 talks. Hopefully Koivu's talk went something like "I know you literally never have to try to play hockey again and we can't trade you and you're guaranteed to make $7m a year, but can you ... TRY playing tonight?"

I remember our first game there last year when we had 10 PK's to kill and we still won the game. I think Brodz had 2 there. He always seems to do well when he goes back to Eddy.

I'm predicting a 4-3 snorefest with the Eddy Oilers playing their trap game to perfection, but still losing by 1. Heatley, Koivu, Butch, and Bulmer score.

For some reason Brodziak owns the province of Alberta.

They're constantly talking about Heatley on the LW and Seto on the RW...I thought that's what they were always playing. Hm.

Maybe. Everyone wants the oil in Alberta but no one wants to play there.

Me too. If the first line dont click in this game we are probably going to see some changes, i dont see any problem with Lats playing in the first line.

he is a beast in the first line, in the nhl 2004 game

Well it doesn't help that they keep drafting these two-way defensive forwards like Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Linus Omark. Maybe if they started drafting flashier offensive talents with more speed, instead of these plodding, gritty checking guys...
