PA Parenteau has a twitter account.....

Two things I noticed:

1. He is a French Canadian playing in Long Island but wears a TB Rays hat in his profile picture....that is confusing jk

2. I wonder what made him think of making a Twitter account literally two hours before the game. On an off-day that's fine but on gameday seems odd, IMO. Matty Ice probably pressured him

But anyways, Tweeters, give a nice welcome to him!

I bet he's one costly turnover away from disabling his twitter account.

But for now I'll follow him!!

On another note, does anyone else think its ridiculous and somewhat unprofessional that the Islanders' Twitter account follows almost 3,000 people? I just noticed this now. This is a business and a professional sports franchise, not Lil B the BasedGod. There's no need to follow everyone back.

The Leafs follow back 25,000 people. It's not new.

Meh, I guess I'm being a little picky. If I were controlling that account it would be following no more than 100-200 other accounts. Players, sports writers, other teams, etc. Once you start getting way up there in the number of accounts you're following Twitter becomes an unusable mess.

I work for an AHL team (guess which one) and our Twitter account has a couple thousand followers but only follows eight people.

Trouble following on Twitter

I had trouble locating PA's account when I did a find using the twitter find option. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I was able to "follow" PA by seeing who one of the other players I follow were following. I then marked PA's account to follow from there.

I wonder if he calls him uncle because he fully expects never to play with him?

He is practicing again and isn't on IR he is DTD. What do you expect any player to do when they are on the road with their team and feeling good, hide in a dark room? Come on.

How is it ridiculous and unprofessional?
You should be happy that your org is trying to be active with fans so what's there to complain over? It's probably so they can message people during contests and for meetups you can only do that if you follow someone.

This is ridiculous. He's already practicing.

Also, do you seriously expect him to lock himself up in some sort of fortress?

Yeah.

With Rick's luck, he could try to pick up the tab, have the bill hit the floor and as a natural reaction slide five feet out of the way and end up concussing himself on the waitress. The bill naturally goes by him and he's out two to six weeks, returns in one.

No but if he had a concussion and he also had one a few years ago and with his luck....He should not be the one to be"on fire" at meals..He should sit, eat, and shut up and ice his knees.......Concussions are nothing to joke about.....The last thing we need is this dude playing in goal all dizzy....

Im not a Dp hater...I feel for the guy....He is the one of the most competitive athleates I have ever seen....His body just is not in the condition for a Pro sports Hockey team...Its not his fault he got injured, but at the same time Im an Islanders fan not a DP fan so I want whats best for the TEAM and Hes not it.....I wish he was but he is not....

Wait, so you are actually serious then?

I'm confused by what you mean. Are you insinuating that one can only be the guy by getting plastered. Or are you saying that since Ricky hasn't been able to play he hasn't earned the right to have a good time with his team-mates (with or without alcohol)?
