No. If I remember correctly, he dressed 8 Dmen, O'Byrne and Streit played up front. He also put Streit on the 1st or 2nd line.
But that's one decision. Like Martin putting Moen on top lines. Carbo never switched his lines every single shift for 40-45min. That's pretty much what was happening tonight. Horrendous.

AK46 and Plekanec are probably among those players unhappy with JM...

If we lost a lot of games (even if we lost most of these games with heart) and were in position to draft Grigorenko then we will have more size down the middle.

it`s early, the best team in the league is 3 wins ahead of us..ok, lol, we`re having a bad little rut here, just like we do EVERY SINGLE YEAR. that`s no need to panick. We`re going home. We played great against colorado at home. We played great against buffalo at home. And we`re gunna play great against toronto. Just calm down, and stop calling for jaques martin`s head. Jacques martin`s systemis great. We just didn`t play it tonight. We had no legs, and we had no head. We were still upset about the buffalo game, and this one is going to give us a big slap in the face, and a kick in the ass. Toronto..saturday...getting back on track...mark it down. buy a proline. that`s W number 2, and price`s 100th
You do realize our season two years ago was one of the worst in a decade; that we were literally a goal away from missing the playoffs entirely, by Toronto no less. Surely, you don't want to see that again. People tend to forget just how big a miracle our playoff success was that year. I'm beginning to wonder if this system was more Mueller's work than Martin.

Come on dude, what use would a player who can shoot, pass, stickhandle, screen the goalie, spot open players and skate be to us with the man advantage? Hence JM doesn't use him on the PP, you see?

Well, I don't know about the last 5 minutes, but for about the last 90 seconds, it almost looked like we were trying.

Martin..Never liked him, never will!!! I live in Singapore and I wake up at 7 am to watch these games and all I have seen so far was...embarassing..Martin is lost on that bench without Muller and thats when you realize..Mueller was the one doing all the coaching! Fire him!

All offseason we heard that this small team with little to no toughness would be competing for 1st. And a few people got hammered every day for pointing out the obvious..........Martin sucks as a coach and Gauthier is clueless as he did not address any of the glaring needs that this team had.

It is all coming to fruition. Massive FAIL in Montreal. Getting rid of Martin would only be a start. Gauthier has to go as well for assembling this team that is all 100% the same. Small and easily knocked off of the puck.

****ing imbeciles.

PG, BG and JM all need to get the boot. Some house cleaning is in order and start heading in a different direction. I don't think any of them have a clue whats going on.

Most of you guys need to wake up. The main reason we're in this position, is this stat: .885.

Blaming the coach for that is living in denial.

Get rid of Martin and Gauthier.

Bull ****. Did you see those saves that Carey made tonight? The Pens could have easily scored 10 goals on us. Cant pin this on Price with the Chinese fire drill Martin has his players doing in front of him.

I am awake. I see Habs players getting rid of the puck as soon as they get it on their stick. Those passes go nowhere. I see Pleks just shooting a puck in a general direction only to be intercepted by ****ing Engelland who fires it on goal, is deflected and the Pens score.

If I can see this, hell, what is Martin watching? Can he not COACH? As in teach? As in having a system where our players are not blindly throwing the puck around to somewhere?

Give your head a shake if your putting this all on Price!

Where is the scoring???

We are needing to win 1-0 games pretty much right now, the D is aweful and their is no offence coming from our top 6.

I think lots of people are opportunists and taking advantage of the present situation to voice their discontent with Martin for the last 2 years. I haven't seen the habs play such a boring style in a long time...

Mod edit:

Seriously? Did you watch the game tonight? We were outplay by a team C from Pittsburgh. Our offense did not generate anything. The PP was absolutely terrible. They can't make two tape to tape pass in a row. The vets like Gio, Cole, Plekanec did not generate anything offenseively.

Watch the game before saying such stupid things.

pretty much this

martin, as well as the rest of the team had a hell of a ****** game. beside jesus price who chose to shot up, nobody else did.

no need to freak out right now. 10 games in? maybe. 20 games in? yeah, fire martin, trade some vets and prepare for next season.

but reading some of the posts here it's like you guys are hoping for the team to bomb, just so that your own personal opinion and vandettas could be fulfilled. hey, at least you'll have the satisfaction of being right.

Why 25 games? Why not 82 games? Or maybe 5 years?

How idiotic, JM has looked awful for ages, the guy is outcoached all the time and his style is boring. When your only plan is praying price steals the game odds are you aren't a good coach.

Here is a good question, If JM wasn't french would he be our coach?
