Love for Quick!

It's not like this kid has been a flash in the pan. He's been good over multiple years and is doing it again thus far this season. Why all the bernier talk? I don't understand, what does Quick have to do to get people to believe? Kid is easily a top 5 goalie in the league.

Good question. Quick is not top 5 in this league, probably not even top 10.

Get out of the first round?

People have been talking like LA is the next best team for 4 or so years...

I'll believe it when I see it.

I put him in the top 15, but that doesn't mean he's not a solid goalie and an absolute steal on that contract.

And there was a topic last week with people arguing about whether LA should really keep Quick or Bernier.

He's above average, not elite.

Being in LA certainly does not help.
I try to watch as many games as i can but on weeknights especially, those 10PM starts are a *****.

umm wow, I'd put him in my top 15 but definitely not top 5 and maybe not even top 10 depending on how I feel.

Good point. I don't get all the hype around Bernier when they have a superior goaltender in Quick on a steal of a contract. Not in the top 5, but he is pretty damn good.

He's probably the most flexible goalie I've seen since Hasek.

Once he becomes unquestionably consistent, he will be a top tier goaltender.

Only thing that separates Quick from Hasek is the helmet.

I think most Kings fans would be just fine with Quick staying the starter for the future. It's just that Bernier is the hot prospect with huge upside (not to mention he was Dean Lombardi's first draft pick for the Kings). We Kings fans don't want Bernier to take over because we dislike Quick, we want him to take over because if he does, that means he's at least a top10 goalie in the league.

Also, Quick is not elite. Not yet at least. He's very good and very young, a nice combination. I'd say he's top 10, but I can see the argument for top 15.

I'd love to see him adopt the flop.

Quick's first real full year he put up better numbers than Price ever did in his first two years. Quick 2nd full season he put up even better numbers than Price did in his entire career. This year he still doesn't look like he was a fluke. How could anyone reasonalby argue that MAF has been better than Quick too? MAF has been all over the place throughout his career, where is the consistency? Ryan Miller has one fluke season and all of the sudden he is a top 5 goalie? Quick's first full year was better than almost ALL of Miller's seasons outside of his fluke season. Quick is being vastly undervalued.

Yeah but, Price has actually done something in the postseason, with a much ****tier team than LA.

Price > Quick quite easily.

Oh, and Fleury has a Cup, and Miller has gone deep in the play offs too...

See the trend?

well said. i just think everyone has looked at quick as simply a stopgap for bernier so they're expecting him to falter so bernier can come in. funny thing is quick isnt faltering.

Congrats to Quick for his shutout and 100th win. Fastest King to 100 wins by huge margin! 53 games! Quick has to lead the league in all goalie stats save wins right now.

Don't care where to rank him, just happy he's our goalie.

Fastest Kings goalie to 100 wins.

100th tonight, 2nd shutout of the season.

Quick is criminally underrated, he is a top 10 goalie. Just look at the kids stats for the past few years.
