Very hard to carry a team in the playoffs when that teams #1 center is Michal Handzus.

you need to carry a team in the playoffs to be considered a top 10 goalie?.

Lots of fans here are just as bad as ESPN. If on the east coast most don't ever get to see any of the late games, thus usually are biased towards eastern conference teams which is fine.

Took the olympics for most to see just how good Doughty was. Guess we'll just have to wait for quick to start in the olympics too.

Is Quick a top 5 goalie in the league? Probably not. But he's rising.....

so many haters for the Kings. Seriously. NJ fan (no shock). We lost 4-2 in the play offs against a 2nd seed team with no offense. You guys are oblivious and just pure haters. lol

... LOL. That's because it was pretty easy. I don't think Quick would have done so well if the Coyotes had not shot the puck wide of the net over and over again.

As for where Quick ranks, he's in the middle of the pack. He's playing well in October. He did this last season too, and faded as the season went along. Come check back with me in March, OK? Last season in March, Quick was doing **** like this:

So now the Kings have been a terrible team? Good to know.

Fact is, other goalies like Price, Fleury, and Miller have done something in the play offs and proven themselves, which is why I think they are better.

And if you try to argue Montreal, or recently Buffalo > LA, you're out of your minds.

He's not a goalie I expect to take a step backwards but to get into the top five he'll probably need to have a little more playoff success and show that he can handle the the workload down the stretch.

He's definitely the best shootout goalie in the league and the worst puck-handler!

You're right, the Kopitar-less Kings were just wrought with talent last Spring. Even then, they still managed to take the number two team in the conference to overtime three times in the series. Quick played pretty damn well in that series, all things considered.

One of these is not like the other.

Edit: It's also quite funny, of all the teams you listed, none were in the western conference. It's been said before and i'll say it again, your opinion doesn't matter if you know nothing about teams not in the eastern conference.

I can tell you didn't watch one lick of Kings hockey last year around play off time.

You do know that Kopi was in the Press box and the Number one Center was Michael Handzus right ? The Second line Center was Jarret Stoll. The Top six had Players like Lewis, Richardson, Clifford.

Oddly enough because of Quicks play, and some of those guys hard work; the Kings made it a series.

Kings talent and skill have been overrated on HF. I don't know why Kings fan hate Terry Murray, his style of play basically allowed the Kings to overacheive.

They guy has improved every single season. This year seems to be THE year he climbs up to the next level, judging by this young season. St.Louis game may have been 5-0 on paper, but it could have EASILY been a 5-4 game, even a loss, if it weren't for Quick. He just seems to be in perfect position everytime, anticipating where the pass is going to go and when the shot is going to be taken. I was a Bernier supporter, and still am, but I have no problem holding onto Quickie, he's incredibly steady this season.
