Certainly doesn't get any easier for the offense. Likely playing Cam Ward and Henrik Lundqvist in the next two games.
It's pretty obvious that the team doesn't have it right now. The forwards corps is weaker than normal compared to the rest of the league. Compare the Jets top 6 with other teams around the league. Aside from Burmistrov, none of the young forwards are doing much. That was a concern going into the season, relying too much on the kids.
Having watched the Devils for many years, it's tough to watch a defense struggle like the Jets. Enstrom, Hainsey, and Stuart are their best defenders. Having Hainsey out hurts. I am surprised how solid Stuart is. I don't remember him ever being this good. Very impressed with him.
Oduya was often called Bambi on the Devils board. He would always fall down and make such awful decisions. That seems to be the case early this year. He had a couple of good years in NJ under Brent Sutter. I'm not sure he'll have the chance to regain that form in Winnipeg.
Aside from a few players, the one positive is that there's a ton of hockey left to play. Some very tough games coming up for the Jets with an extremely tough road trip looming.
