Well that was probably the best game of the year so far. Everyone on the team was in it.

wow nice goal! That was a pretty nice play by Stewart before that, he has pretty deceptive speed for a big guy.

That was a great, entertaining game. I wish the Blues played the Canes more often.

Wow, incredibly exciting third period, then a nail-biter of a PK in overtime and Dags with the winner! Good lord we needed this one. Great effort from start to finish boys

Definitely not. I'm not sure if they started tipping them back after the 0-2 deficit, but it seemed like they were behind the play the entire night.

Great showing by the Blues! Good to see some team chemistry for once this year. Let's hope Elliot gets another look next game against the Flyers.

No. I was actually wondering if there was a new guy on the camera earlier. It was behind the play and not focused a few times. It's usually spot on.

good 3rd and 4th period.

Beautiful pass on the GWG.

Cant wait to watch this team in a month; especially now that I dont get to watch the Sens twice a year in Atlanta.

Awesome effort from the Blues tonight. Elliot was solid and the team looked hungry. They definitely deserved the win. I'm just glad my Canes got a point, as bad as they were.

Fox Sports Midwest spent all of their budget on John Kelly's creepy, unblinking robot eyes. Now they outsource the actual television production to a local community college.

So, is Brian Elliot our go-to guy now?

It's unrealistic to expect games that are completely free of mistakes/turnovers. The Blues have had a decent number, but nothing compared to most of their games this season. Carolina has been much, much worse.
Agreed, that's not the norm for Oshie and Steen, wasn't trying to key in on them. As for the overall defensive performance, maybe I'm tending to focus on our mistakes more after witnessing the travesties that preceded this game. Regardless, great overall effort by the Blues tonight.

A lot of great things to talk about in that win, but I'm going to bypass many of the obvious ones and say that I'm very pleasantly surprised at how well the Steen-Arnott-Langenbrunner line played tonight in all three zones. They did a great job.

Tonight was noticeably worse than what I'm used to seeing from the FSN Midwest crew.

Positive Impressions:
Langenbrunner impressed me tonight. I normally hate on the guy, so I'll give him kudos for having a good game.
Sobotka and D'Agostini continue to show-case their top-6 ability.
Elliott has looked great in Blue so far.

Agreed. After reading so much about the old guys slowing down, it was great to see them out there with some tenacity -- and keeping up with Steener of all people!

Agreed, they were all over puck posession tonight. The blues were also impressive in the face-off circle, these are some good things.

The question arises, do we now ride Elliott and hope that Halak gets his head on straight or return to Halak and hope this was all the help he needs?

You know what's weird?

If memory serves me correctly the past two seasons, if not three, we started off good and then started to suck (almost on cue) when that late October game vs the Canes came around (you guys do notice we always play the Hurricanes in late October) Maybe this year the Canes game will mark the Blues playing a lot better from here on out. and perhaps, just maybe, playoffs???

Halak needs more time to sit in the corner. imo
