My 2 cent
It's not just you, I've noticed it as well. We always seem to play horribly against weaker teams but then perform like gods against stronger teams. The last time I remember us completely destroying a weaker team was against the Wild last year where we beat them 8-1.

PJ Stock is Montreal's Simple Jack
It's actually when he broke his orbital bone in a fight that things took turns for the worse. They operated on the wrong eye and completely messed him up. Guy could throw them though.

We handled Winnipeg pretty well in the first game.

Leafs will be playing loose and free tonight. No pressure on them.

Montreal will be gripping their sticks to death.

Look for a 5-1 Leafs win.

True, but that wasn't really an ordinary game.

For those who don't understand, chubaka wants to know why the Habs always play at the level of their opponents. Take Florida for example, they'll win or lose in a bad game but then go onto play Detroit and match them in every aspect, playing a perfect game. He wants to know why the Habs can't just play that way against bad teams too and beat them by a wide margin.

To answer, I believe it's a mentality of thinking you can handle a weaker team, so you begin to underestimate them. I've noticed that last year when the played Edmonton for instance, they didn't work hard at all. It seemed like they were waiting for things to happen and in the end, they got beat both times by the Oilers. However when they played Vancouver, they were able to shut down the Sedins, play a perfect defensive game and score some big goals.

It's all in the head. You look across the ice and you see a team that isn't as good as yours, you begin to put a W in the win/loss column before the match has even started.

Yeah we played well against Winnipeg & Buffalo so far. Playing like crap against everyone else weak or strong, & I consider that Pittsburgh line-up to be very weak!!!

Lose this one, and Martin should start at looking over his shoulder.

Very curious to see how the Habs do without Gomez in the lineup.

Pleks needs to play some crazy minutes tonight.....hope he's up to it.

It'll come back when both teams are good one day. But the City hate thing seems to no longer exist. Everyone likes both cities. That's fine, More hate for Boston!!!!

Moron.
didnt see the interview, but I doubt he was blaming markov in a bad way, more like Montreal is missing his presence, ya digggggg?

Oh yeah, and I totally would have understood if he said that. The thing is, he stated "I blame Andrei Markov." Then the girl said that it's unfair to put it all on one player, and he said again "I still blame Andrei Markov."

He's waiting for Markov so the team doesn't seem so bad...
