Thornton just played his 1,000th NHL game. That was a bit of a shocker to me. I didn't think he had played that many.

Referees are: Kelly Sutherland (#11) & Frederick L'Ecuyer (#17)

I assume the second ref is newly promoted to the NHL? Never heard of him before.

I remember the day Thornton was traded...I was so angry. So I actually rooted for him for a few years. Then when I realized he couldn't get to the cup finals to save his life I let him go.

And then all the things he had to say about the B's and Chara after the Patches situation....he ended right back on my ****aki mushroom list.

hope we give him a good welcoming. Hit him hard. Contain him and most of all WIN. Bring the physicality boys!

I don't remember to much of that night until I got a $150 phone bill from phoning the Gardhen and every Mike O'Connell in Mass. I was pissed literary and figuratively.

Is Lucic expected to play tonight?

Say's he's day to day in my fantasy report but he looked great in the Leafs game.

Maybe just a maintenance day as a reward and he's not actually injured?

I think it`s the latter, just a day of rest, let`s be honest here, by far his most physical game all year, other than the Carolina game where he had 2 very solid hits, his physical game completely missing, might I suggest he had some bumps/bruises after the Leaf tilt??

Sure doesn`t sound like anything more or less than pure rest to me

I just saw the same thing. I didn't see anything last game that indicated any sort of injury. Hopefully he's ready to go tonight and we see more of the same from the Toronto game.
