What are you talking about? He isn't being ****ing showcased, he is getting the start because he looked good against the Rangers, and Montoya can't play every single game this season.

I really don't think they want to trade him unless they fall far out of it.

We're a few weeks into the season, Rick hasn't even played a game & he still got hurt. How on earth can they rely on him anymore? They can't even rely on him to be the 3rd goalie. If they trade Nabokov or Montoya would you really be surprised if Rick got hurt 2 minutes after the trade was finalized? Wasn't Rick injured just a few days after Roloson was traded? It's just something that seems like it would happen to the Islanders.

The team winning & the development of the 3 goalie prospects need to be priority 1 here. Rick is done. He'll never be an asset again. It's time to move on.

Hopefully the new CBA lets them just buy him out & get him off the books. He'll make a great assistant GM/pro scout/color commentator.

Good Points, And i agree and hope you are right. But it seems like the islander organization will never move on from DP But than again they proved me wrong opening night.

I hope they win. But just for the hell of it, I'd rather we get goals from Bailey, Okposo & Comeau. Love JT, but it's time someone else scored a goal. Only 5 forwards have scored for the Isles so far. That's ridiculous.

If were doing this thing, I say the score will look like this

2

NYI goals: T. Gillies, M. Mottau, J. Pandolfo, E. Nabokov (EN)
FLA goals: E. Gudbranson, J. Skille

Curious to how the team + Comeau will respond.

Man I really wish Haley was here, but you can't always get what you want. Lets just go out there and play with passion tonight and hopefully come away with a win. They just need to show some effort at least.

Nabby actually scored one powerplay goal for the Sharks.

Rolston's been pretty useless on that top unit IMO, I would also much rather see Hamonic on it. Even Okposo would probably be better.

Would also like to see the 2nd and 3rd lines mixed up a bit.

Maybe something like.

Comeau-Nielsen-Grabner
Martin-Bailey-Okposo

It might be as simple as fearing losing Gillies to a team that wants a puncher. Haley can pass through waivers still.

It looks like Bailey will be back with Comeau and Martin tonight. Always liked that line, hope they put something together tonight.

Capuano chooses the players to play not Garth.

Great GDT as usual Law, love the music choice!

I don't know if AHL suspensions affect the NHL, but Haley's been suspended 2 games for an illigal hit to the head.

Pretty sure you can't play in the NHL while serving a penalty in AHL.

So it's 5 games into the season and generally speaking, everyone love the Isles after a win, "see they are a play-off team", but after a loss, everyone thinks they will be a last place team. Again, this is generally speaking, not for everyone on here.

I would like to just say it's getting old....but I can't.

The reason for the wide range of feelings is because of how drastically the Isles change there performance. When they lose, they don't show up AT ALL. When they win, they look like a playoff team.

The bottom line is, Isles won't be a playoff team if they are this inconsistent. All teams lose, and of course all teams have bad games, but when they lose, there has to be some apparent effort.

I can't wait to see how they play tonight.

Still pissed off from the home opener, and now seeing their GDT saying LowLanders. I want to win and badly, I want to embarrass them after them laying an egg that first game. Make them bleed so the fans really see red

This another excellent test to see how they follow up after the TB game. I still say it's too early to tell win or lose. I think the 20 game mark is about right to start to see the development or lack there of. With that said.......LET'S GO ISLANDERS!
