Really good game. Won't always be like this, but gotta enjoy it while it's going good

I think they're trying to make up for December through February of last year.

The Red Wings are a very good team.

They were tired tonight on the other side of a back-to-back. They played their back-up goalie.

They got the **** kicked out of them by the Caps.

You play the team in front of you.

Excuses/nit-pickers, the door is on the left. It is labelled 'Boofreakinghoo'

Great win.

Was it me or did backstrom get no pk time? Has BB been doing that all season, haven't paid attention.

This will sound crazy, in light of the result, but I am actually noticing some bad habits and coaching decisions starting to creep into our game.

Kidding.

There wasn't a single bad habit or bad coaching decision tonight. Tonight, all is perfect. God bless the Caps.

Worth noting that Vokoun is an unsung hero of that game. Every time Wings could have made a game out of it, he made clutch saves and held down the fort till our next offensive explosion.

7-0 is a glorious start. I hope we will fire BB instantly and reassign 85 to hershey. Then maybe we can REALLY reach our potential.

i was thinking TVo may be our player of the game too. When he held down the fort as they started their feeble attempt at a comeback, he slammed the door, and sucked the life right out of them.

A team win all around regardless

That's what I call a balanced stat sheet. Every line scored a goal, only 4 players didn't register a point and everybody was over 10 minutes in ice-time and only Hamrlik and Green were over 20 minutes.

Keep it going boys!
Jeff Schultz point less.

Just kidding, not my first dish of crow, sought of taste like chicken.

The thing about this year compared to last year is the Caps would have struggled to beat Detroit, or many teams for that matter, off a back to back, instead they dominated them like they should have given the circumstances.

Which includes that awful first game and the junk goal given away to Philly.

That's ridiculous.

another stat post:

backstrom tied 4th in the league in scoring, 2 of 3 guys above him have played an extra game. tied 1st in assists with sedin and karlsson, both of whom have played an extra game.

good stuff from my favorite player.

Wife drove my car to work last night.

So I go out to car to drive to hockey... And the seat is moved all the way to the wheel, the seat heater is on, the ac is on, and the sunroof was open..

agreed mojo has been great, but so has perrault while playing on the 4th line, he may be given another chance if mojo starts to slow down

I don't get women and seat positioning. Doesn't matter if they're 5'1 or 5'7 they always have to pull the seat right up to the wheel. Was the steering wheel at least pointing up?

Just got finished watching the game on my DVR and man that was fun to watch. Really like that 1st period. Wish we could play an entire game like that night in and night out. Also, a good team like Detroit is going to remember that game for the next meeting between these to. Should be good...
