Was Marco Sturm the worst Canuck of all-time?

He will go down as a failed experiment. Gillis's worst signing for sure. Looked like a guy who had no business being in the league this year.

His final stat line : 6GP 0P -5

Recent threats to his "worst ever" status - Marc Chouinard (really rotten), Brad Isbister (had at least one decent moment), Eric Weinrich...anyone else?

And before anyone says Mark Messier, he was so ****ing gross he shouldn't even be considered a Canuck. We should all just agree to block that time period from our memories.

If Booth turns into a 50 point player and great Kesler linemate, than Sturm will go down as one of my favorite Canucks.

No, I don't think he's even close to the worst Canuck ever. At least he put a puck in the net, albeit deemed illegally.

Byron Ritchie... Jeff Cowan??
Seriously... Cowan.. 07-08... 46 GP 0G 1A -5.

I'm sure there were some Canucks in the early years that were pretty brutal, being an expansion team and all.

I thought that was Luongo. More posts complaining about him on this forum than there has ever been about any other Canuck.

It's pretty hard to legitimately call Marco Sturm the "worst Canuck of all time" when he only played six games with the club.

I'm sure there was some terrible players during that dead era in the 80's but Sturm was pretty bad, no doubt.

You mean Kris.
That's how bad he was. A few games and AV said "no mas" and sent him back on waivers.

Some of you are obviously too young to remember the Mark Messier years. It started off badly from the get go when Messier demanded the C be taken from Linden and given to him.

Sturm isn't even a wet fart

Nope, Hodgson is easily the worst.

Tommi Santala is the best. Anyone compared to him could technically be considered the worst.

I didn't think he was that bad, mostly just invisible.
There are many other past Canucks who are legitimately bad.

Mark Messier literally made me stop watching the Canucks for a few years. I hate that guy.

Maybe "the worst" isn't the right title, but Sturm, for being our big off-season signing, had a pretty pathetic impact. Six games and gone. So much for Gillis never trading guys he just signed.
