So lets be honest, who else thought..

We all joke about it from time to time on the boards but who else said to themselves when Lundqvist left the rink yesterday, "Well, he's finally had enough of this team and it lackluster effort from night to night and he's packing up"

C'on I know I wasn't the only one

We can joke about this now because he wasn't actually either either

It probably was a combination of him being pissed, which upset his stomach, and gave him some cramps. I probably would leave too, and puke if I watched that disgusting effort in front of me for most of the game.

neither did i...as a joke from most people it is kind of funny, but in all seriousness saying/thinking that is stupid in my opinion, he loves the spot light in new york, he love this city, and he loves the work, he loves this team, he would not have it any other way, he's close with the whole team, and he seems like an easy guy to get along with and doesn't have much anger except when it is becasue of how he played.

I initially thought he might've been pulled to rest up, as Tortorella occasionally does. Call this game a lost cause, because it was, and save him some energy moving forward.

Well obviously I meant jokingly did anyone else think that since we always joke around how one day he's going to just leave.

Of course i don't think anyone seriously thought he left the team.

Nope.

Thought he pulled a muscle or had a groin injury.

Henke is not a "divo".

i thought he pulled a Patrick Roy, honestly. i even said to my friend, "oh man he's done, hes going to Torts and saying he's never playing for this team again."

then i realized he just pooped a little.

I half joked that he quit the team. Someone else joked that he went to suit up as a foward to show them how its done.

I thought he must of pulled a muscle, maybe somewhere in the groin, the way he just disappeared. Then when they said he left with "cramps" and after watching the replay I think he **** his pants or had to run to take a **** immediately and even the game couldn't wait for him.

I said he would demand a trade as a joke. In no way would I ever believe that Hank would do that. So nah.

Nice sigh of relief tho when we found out it was nothing major.

We all didn't see anything that possibly couldn't of caused injury.

I got worried about that, but the biggest thing that came to my mind was he just skated off because he's sick of the **** in front of him.

Might've been his time of the month...

Torts probably told him to come off by middle of the 3rd if Bullin keeps the shut out by then. Skates explanation is laughable.

I dunno, I have had skates that I desperately tried to break in and eventually had to give up and get rid. The pain was too much. I changed to my old skates mid 2nd period in a recreational game. The only way to make your skates work is to play in them which is why players often wear them regardless.

I think if the game was close or we were in it he would of waited. Though I do think there is more to it than skates I do believe it was a legitimate excuse.

I think that's just a joke. Though there was a guy in baseball who (literally) had to take a crap when it was his turn to step up to the plate.
