Because it makes sense, the Canucks will be getting Aaron Rome back before too long which will put 8 defencemen on the roster (Along with Chris Tanev in the AHL) and Alberts would give the Rangers a little snarl along the blueline. That said, a source told Pierre LeBrun today that the Canucks were done dealing for a while.

We just re-signed Alberts, plus he's been very effective. I highly doubt he'll be moved. Plus, we can fit both Alberts & Rome as well as fitting in another $2m cap hit

Rangers scout in the building for the Nucks/Oil game as well. Maybe it wasn't Min.

Rangers interested in Hamhuis?

Canucks have no extra pieces besides Ebbett or Reinprecht.

Rangers do not need a goalie, right?

Canucks do not have any spare Dmen. They employ Salo, remember, he will succumb to freakish injury soon.

Usually, a guy can intuitively understand a trade rumour. You know, it will make sense for one reason or another. I can't see a Rangers/Canucks swap that would be beneficial for anybody. These teams just played each other recently, too.

depends on how long Staal will be out.

Sauer is back in the lineup so with him Girardi, McDonaugh, Del Zotto, Eminger , Erixon it's not terrible. Woywitka sits

I am sure they would be fine with that group just swap Staal with Erixon so the kid can develop in the minors.

They may just wait it out now

That wouldn't even make sense anyways. They need a puck mover, not another DFD.
