Paging Brad Marchand

Kid is playing hard but trying to do way too much by himself and it's hurting the team. He has been trying to stickhandle through the D non-stop and even though he's pretty skilled, he's not that skilled. He has also fanned on like a dozen shots in the last 4 or 5 games. I dunno what the deal is with that, but maybe he's just gripping the stick too tight lately.

Anyway, he needs to settle down and get going b/c he's a big part of this team and his lack of consistent production is killing them. I'd be all for reuniting the Merlot line for a couple games to try and get him to go back to basics. Thoughts?

I don't mind when he tries to stick handle towards the net, because frankly this team doesn't just take the puck to the net often enough

It's when he whiffs on shots and makes cross ice passes from the half wall that get picked off that I have a problem

personally, i'd like to see him cut the shenanigans out and concentrate on actually playing hockey.

everyone, including the refs, know his stchick on the ice.

The kid's still young and the shenanigans are part of what makes him so effective.

Relax. He's only fanned on a few shots....that usually means the pass was rushed or his timing is off or the puck wasnt settling down.

Relax. He hasnt been reckless and I havent seen him take any poor penalties.

the whole team is settling down and settling in.

whomever said the team needs to drive to the net is correct--they are playing the perimeter WAY too much and bunching up behind he net--we miss Rex....

when you take it to the net, you score goals.

Please name one bad penalty hes taken this year?

I will take a player that drives hard over a lazy-ass player any day

Strange game for him last night --3 absolute whiffs on the puck when he had it in good shooting position.

He's skating hard. He's doing a lot of the same little things that made him so deadly last year. I saw something last night (he tried to elbow a guy in the head) that made me cringe, but overall I think he just had a (really) bad game. In the other games this season he's been fine.

Not to see any other coach get canned but I wonder if Rex could join the coaching team upstairs with Doug Jarvis. His presence would be a boost to the team and I think that they may listen to him and the insight that he could give by watching games from above.

He's the least of all my Bruins worries at the moment. I agree he does try to deke sometimes when it's not the best option, but that's my only complaint, and it's a minor one.

I know there are a lot of BRUINS fans in love with him but I'm still not sold. He reminds me of Samaonov except with an edge.

I feel like Samsonov makes things look pretty and Marchand makes things happen.
