As a fan of the Jets (never did like Atlanta) and a long time Ranger fan, this will be a great game for me to be at.
I wish Lundquist was playing though. I was at the game on Saturday when Carolina started Boucher instead of Ward. I was sitting beside some of Wards relatives. They were disappointed he was sitting. I'm sure the Carolina fans were too.
I feel the Rangers are making the same poor decision, and taking the Jets too lightly. But, at least Mason is starting too. The battle of the backups!!!
Good luck Guys,(but not too much)
Should be a great game!!
NYR fans came over to our GDT and helped me with Rangers changes to lineups, so here is the favoured returned...Jets will lineup like this tonight...
Ladd - Little - Wheeler
Kane - Antropov - Burmistrov
Glass - Maxwell - Thorburn
McArdle - Stapleton - Wellwood
Enstrom - Byfuglien
Stuart - Bogosian
Jones - Oduya
Mason(starting)
Pavelec
scratches: D Meech, LW MacLean, C Slater (injured, unknown day to day)
So excited to see the Rangers tonight, it is my 2nd Jets game. Good luck tonight, but I have yet to witness a Jet win so I will be losing my voice with some Bi-ron and Go Jets Go chants
The Rangers aren't taking the Jets lightly. The Thrashers nearly ruined the Rangers season last season beating the Rangers in game #81 at the Garden with Lundqvist in net for that game. Its time for Biron to start a game. Henrik has made 37 straights starts for the Rangers. The Rangers don't want Lundqvist playing too many games again. That was the plan before Biron suffered a broken collarbone last February.

Marty Biron will start tonight. Henrik Lundqvist had started the previous 37 Rangers games.
Im feeling a strong game from the boys tonight. Thinking that the Oilers game will light a fire under their ***** going forward. We shall see though. Really excited to watch the atmosphere of the game tonight though, so happy for the city of Winnipeg.

He's a bit of both, but yes, he's more of a passer than a scorer and on a team with a lack of scoring outside of Gaborik, we need him to step up.
Then you're going to be sadly disappointed if that is your expectation. Richards leads the team in points because of assists. I think he's assisted on every Gaborik goal so far, I think... Regardless it's at least 3 of the 4 (I'm too lazy to look it up), thats why we signed him. He's doing his job.
The people that need to step up are Dubi, Cally, AA, Boyle.

Agree.
I'd put Stepan's name in there as well. I wish he could take the bull by the horns here while playing with those two.
They've been saying they wanted to lighten Henrik's schedule for years now.
And they did last year. First year since his rookie season Henrik didn't start 70games, and that was even including having to play something like 24 straight after the Biron injury.
He would have been at 63-65 if Biron had stayed healthy. Tortorella very much stood up for what he said at the start of the season.

I thought about that but I think he has been doing well on the top line. Then again I missed saturdays game so I dont know how he did or if Torts changed the lines again.
Del Zotto's name should be on that list as well. He needs to pot one to get going. On the PP would be nice.

I'm a huge Stepan fan... I just want to see some numbers. I know he's young and just a sophomore but he needs to get going a bit.
As far as Richards goes, we ain't seen nothing yet. Yes he has 5 points but he hasn't shown what he's really capable of yet. This is brad Richards at like 70%. When he gets going you're all going to run out and buy his jersey. So far he's actually reminded me of Gomez. The reassuring part is that he's Gomez-esque when he's at 70% and when he's at 100% he's dangerous every shift. He's also never had a pure finisher like Gaborik so there's definitely an adjustment period going on right now. I'm not worried in the least, but I just wanted to say this because some people seem to be satisfied with richards' play so far because he has the points. Just wait.
