Poll: Best Senator thus far

To me it has been Michalek. Plays a great 2-way game and has been filling the scoresheet.

Who has been the best Sen in your eyes?

Tie between Karlsson and Michalek imo. I'd probably give the edge to Karlsson. When he goes into beast mode, its quite frightening.

Michalek has been a beast in all 3 zones this year. Karlsson would be my second choice.

Don't know how Karlsson doesn't win this.

Most of our offense starts through him and he's maturing quickly on defense.

Easily Karlsson. He's my game star tonight without any points on the board.

One of the best young defensemen in the NHL.

Gotta go with Neil, sure he hasn't been putting up points but he's been one of the leaders so far.

ALfie - he's out there giving way more than anyone expects of him, and he's a deciding factor in several games. He sparked Ottawa to an almost-comeback vs the Leafs, he won the game in the S/O vs Minny, he picked up a goal to force the Jets into a 6-man. By the way, notice the look on Alfie's face when he's crossing the blue line - the guy is determined and gritting his teeth - he's not here to f around. I would have also left a slot for Greening because I think he's really moving his ass.

Positive thread is positive.

Tough choice, ended up going with Michalek.

If we're going SOLELY on the games that have been played so far, I've got to give Michalek the slight edge over Karlsson.

The caveat to this is that I fully expect Karlsson to have the better season overall.

Giggles. Outside of a game or two, he's been Ottawa's best player every night.

Alfy and Michalek close.

im gonna go with Karlsson just over Michalek.

on a side note if Michalek keeps this up we could end up getting something fairly substantial for him at the deadline. On the other hand though im not sure why would would trade a 30-35 goal scorer in his prime rebuild or otherwise.
