So we get to see Sturm tonight. He's got an uphill battle for our cheers considering who he took the place of.

I hope we win tonight. I don't want to end in the lower ranks trying to play catchup for a playoff spot. There's no reason why we shouldn't win this game with an effort. The Habs are demoralized.

GO PANTHERS!!!

Which players are being benched? since Santo and Sturm are playing.
I do not get the Montreal fans, right now they are in the basement and at the same time calling our team a bottom dweller, I understand their pride but reality has to come first, if they do not start winning in the 3 games, it is going to get really ugly for JM.
They are hoping to beat us to provide the jolt they need, I for one think, if we bring it like we did last game, we will be fine.

In the GDT one line said Carter and Elleby were going to be scratches. Kearns back to AHL; not sure about Kennedy's status....

I also expect Upshall to start producing with Santorelli centering that line.

Gonna go ahead and rant here...

Anyone check TSN and watch the short vid on the Habs/Panthers game?

Well don't. Unless, of course, all you want to know is info on the Habs going into the game. Now, i fully understand that TSN has a market (canadians) and they have every right to focus intensely on the 6 canadian teams -- i have no issue there. But in a game in which there are two teams, they didn't even MENTION the Panthers. They didn't mention who would be starting, any possible scratches, the new additions or subtractions, any previous records, miscellaneous info... nothing. As i watched the video, i kept waiting for the last 2-5 seconds to be "and the Panthers rookie goalie Markstrom will get his second start of the season..." but that never came. I don't know about people in canada, but as a hockey fan, i like to know what my opponent is bringing to the table.

I've read Budaj starting for the Habs, but I'm not sure.

This is a good time meeting Habs, they're vulnerable at the moment.

At the risk of sounding political, its the equivalent of Fox News to to the Republicans.
Canadians universe is very small, I do get it why, but Hockey is not exclusive to the Canadian market.

While I was watching our previous game against the Islander, I was playing close attention to Kennedy, He was loosing the puck when he had it and lost most of the battles in the corners, he moved around a lot, trying to find the right spot to be in, I also notice that he looked slow or perhaps deceptively slow because of his size, once he scored the goal, it was like a different player, he was making assertive plays and the puck was finding him from there on, almost like he got of huge boost of confidence.
I am not fan of his game but it seems to me like he lack tons of confidence, and I get it, he had a pretty hard road to get to the NHL.
