Who could we possibly acquire for something like Ritola + a 3rd? Probably not a reliable #2-4 defenseman...
He included third in that statement last season, and like last season he could change his mind. Imo, picks are just interchangeable assets, hopefully yzerman sees it the same way

I'm pretty comfortable with our forward group, to be honest. That will gel as time goes. A top 4 d-man would do wonders, and I'm not against picking up a goalie if Roloson doesn't play well.

I've always thought Trevor Daly or even Josh Gorges would be nice here.

I'd love either Jonathan Bernier or Cory Schneider here in Tampa but we would have to give up a lot of either.

We need Ohlund back. Once he gets back hopefully it brings some more stability back there but if not they gotta go get somebody. All of those goals yesterday were on the defense not clearing out the area in front of the goalie. Easy passes set up for the goals that shouldnt happen. If that got cleared up wow would this be a good team. I think our goalie situation will be fine. I think it has less to do with them and more to do with the lack of physicality in front of him.

He might be an option. Last I checked he was doing well in Norfolk. Id give him a shot to see how he can do with the big boys. Of course in a limited role to begin with.

Well, I know if we call someone up, it'd probably be ****ing Vernace because we've got him on speed dial for some reason.

I would say leave Gudas in Norfolk but Barberio and him are putting up the points. Barberio leads all AHL Dmen with 10points in 9 games and Gudas is tied for 5th with 6 points. I still believe they should stay put but if they keep this up (along with some of the forwards like Ashton) we might be seeing them sometime this season over an AHL tweener like Vernace or Petiot.

We've also just got Gervais sitting around.
