Why do we have to wait this long? We are going to get beat and beat bad. Not only in the scoreboard, they are going to get beat up physically. I guarentee that we lose at least 3-4 players in the next two games.

I want the people that trashed me, when I said Cammy and Cole were way overpaid, to talk about this subject again.

Cammy and Cole are fine. The problem lies elsewhere.

DON'T BE GLUME. Changes are a coming. Hopefully changes come from Geoff Molson and he cleans house and brings in his own people. Changes from Pierre Gauthier will just extend the bleeding.

First of all Gainey is gone.. Pierre Gauthier has had more than enough time to put his stamp on the team.

Secondly Gainey took this team from it's worst years and built a cup contender. Finished first in the conference. Then a year after acted quickly and rebuilt the team into ANOTHER cup contender. Made the conference finals.

People still blaming Gainey whose long removed from GM are probably the same idiots who blamed Koivu year after year.

How the **** do you blame Gainey for this year? It's not like he gave Martin a non movement clause. Fire his ass if you think he is the problem, stopping running around like an idiot with his head cut off and blaming anyone you can name. Gainey is NOT this teams GM

jesus ****ing christ some people are annoying

PG probably wanted to give Martin a chance with Markov in the line up, but he can't wait anymore. Need a new voice, something, anything.

some of this vet crew has also gone stale..gomez, gill (gio, cammy?)...guys like saku and kovy we're let go with far more talent than these two..
gill needs to retire in season to become the d coach or something

There is no way Gill sits. NO WAY. I'm not saying Gill played well.. but there is no WAY what so ever Gill will sit.

Told you guys that the Habs were a sinking ship in the summer and i got laughed at. You cannot win when you have a crappy management not even with a team full of all stars.

Should have cleaned the whole management when they had the chance.

What's our silver lining for this season?

-No more JM or PG.
-A shot at Yakupov.
-Maybe rest Markov till forever.
-Some nice assets at the trade deadline.

If it's so clear that Martin is gone, why not fire him now? We're trying to repeat the same mistakes as NJ last year? Every point counts. If changing the coach is going to make us win, then CHANGE THE COACH.

Whatever the "probable" solution is, DO IT.

Maybe a quick patch up is needed for you guys on D. Any interest in a guy like Brian Lee for a 4th? He improved quite a bit at the tail end of last year and certaintly better than some of your options right now. Im sure once some of the D come back that things will be better

I think I've become numb to the pain...
Everytime I see the Habs lose I can't help but laugh. My bbm picture is Yakupov and I couldn't be happier.

Then the person who thought Markov would be a great signing needs to be fired asap. I would assume that is PG! PG and JM need to go, and the scouting staff that brought in Gomez as well needs to go. Time for a fresh start. I can deal with a new staff failing in its first year, but this is supposed to be experiences staff making rookie mistakes!

It's home-and-home against Boston so make that 1-8-2

At 4 points after 8 games over the past several seasons:
  • 2010: Nobody (NJ & Ottawa had 5 points; both missed the playoffs; Edmonton had 6 and went on to finish dead last)
  • 2009: Toronto (0-7-1): missed playoffs; Minnesota (2-6-0): missed playoffs
  • 2008: NYI (2-6-0): missed playoffs (dead last)
  • 2007: Atlanta (1-7-0): missed playoffs; Nashville (2-6-0): made playoffs
  • 2006: Philadelphia (1-6-1): missed playoffs (dead last); Phoenix (2-6-0): missed playoffs
  • 2005: Pittsburgh (0-4-4): missed playoffs; Columbus (2-6-0): missed playoffs

That is not an encouraging list. 3 "dead lasts" and only one playoff team emerge from this kind of dreadful start.

Fans need to make a statement by staying away. See how Molson reacts when they start seeing empty seats. Hurt them where it counts. $$$

It does not matter anymore who you put on the ice. All the players are so similar that you can simply pick a line from a hat and it would be no different than if you planned it. They need a more proactive GM, one that would not be afraid to make bold moves, and a better scouting staff. Easier said then done.

When the team is doing great, the coach has nothing to do with it. When it's going bad, everything's the coach's fault.

Yeah, let's fire another coach. It's been like that for years in Montreal. It's like pre-season blind optimism, a new coach will bring renewed hope, renewed expectation, until we're sick of that one too...

I agree, first Martin doesnt have the balls and second, this would lower our chances to get Yakubov.. We obviously need that slow and soft giant in the line-up..
