Actually, the RSL is so low-scoring that this still puts him something like top 20 in points per game. Guys like Zherdev and Saprykin are putting up similar numbers so if he keeps it up, I think Habs management will be quite happy.

Another thing I noticed from the boxscores is that he is also playing on the third line, so not likely getting the top two line ice time. This likely is due to the fact that he joined the team after the start of the season.

Has anyone ever seen Grabovski play, live or on tape? What does he bring to the table? Is his listed size accurate?

About the low scoring, I'm not sure if I'm right here, but I think I read that secondary assists aren't awarded in the RSL, only the primary ones. So that tend to bring down player's statistics even more.

I hope he moves up as time goes on. Id love for him to develope his offensive game more before coming to camp next season (thats if we have camp)..........

Grabovsky with another assist in Neftekhimik win (1:0). I've just noticed that right now Grabovsky with 12 Pts (6G+6A) in 20 games is second in points for his team and in 5 pts behind Neftekhimik leader Simakov. Also right now Grabovsky is 14th in scoring in RSL.

I've seen Grabovsky only one time. Against Dynamo. It was "all about defence" type of game so it was very hard to analyze Grabovsky style of play. I only remember that Mikhail had a penalty.

well he seem to be doing well and something you forget about Grabovski is that he is the younger player on his team and by far the most effective one (young player). Good stuff i would really be intereted more in him.. he wasnt 5'9''.... unless he would be destroying the league, i havent seen him play but i doubt he got Martin St-Louis skills, speed, size compare to his body and intensity on the ice... also he got undrafted and is close to 20 now.. if only they would invent steroids to make people grow. lol (kidding)

According Metallurg database he is between 5.9 and 5.10 but from what I’ve seen he looks a bit bigger. Probably like 5.10 - 5.11 or like this. But may be it was just a fiction cause Neftekhimik is a small team, Imho.

I think this is the case with college hockey, but I'm pretty sure they award secondary assists in the RSL. I'm not absolutely sure, though.

Both the NCAA and RSL give secondary assists, I'm 100% sure of this. As for Grabovski, it's great to hear he's doing so well. 2nd youngest player on the team, 2nd in scoring, tied for 2nd in goals. Only his 2nd year in the RSL, after playing in the EEHL. I will see him play in a few weeks, and likely again in decemeber with other games as well.

Yemelin played in his 4th game, picked up 2 mins, Perezhogin with an assist on the only goal Omsk scored today.

Also good to see Linhart sticking in the extraliga, he's played 16 games and is even. Has to be very good experience for him, especially with so many NHLers (53 I think I read) playing in the league.

Video from Lada vs. Avangard game mms://video.rfn.ru/rtr-sport/7156.asf (average quality)
Great play by Perezhogin (#17) on only Avangard goal. Imho, best goal I've seen this season in RSL.

Perezhogin does it again, with another assist on the only goal scored in a 1-1 tie.

Yemelin didn't play today.

Perezhogin with another assist. Now has 8 pts in 14 games while playing on the 3rd line. Grabovsky adds another assist, now has 13 pts. No pts for Korneev, and Yemelin played his 5th game, got 2 pims.

Dan, do you know where Perezhogin is in the RSL point scoring race ? Very good news to see Perezhogin producing these kind of numbers in a very competitive league.

Far down the list. Here's his team's total's it's in English so it's not included todays game.

If your intersting. http://webfile.ru/90673 .Video Recap of Avanguard @ Dynamo game - 4:3 (OT). Perezhogin with goal (3:2) and Senators prospect Mirnov with the first goal of the game (0:1).

To download click on Скачать файл. Choose "save as ... " file is in "Zip" format. Wait few seconds (i don't know why) and then it should be OK.

Sorry, if I bother you

mms://video.rfn.ru/rtr-sport/7366.asf There is interview with Perezhogin in the end of the clip. He looks happy and talks about his team win in this game. He also says that it was tough game against the leader and notes that Avanguard plays well with good teams.
BTW small interview with Frolov in the middle of the clip. Few words about win in CSKA-Spartak derby.

Sweet goal by Perezhogin there!

Showed great acceleration splitting both d-men before deking the goalie out of his pants!
