Expectations for the Seven game Road trip?

So for some reason that I'm unaware of, the Jets have a seven game Road trip... I think my Canes biggest one is five... horrible schedule for the Jets..

Anyway, with the Team coming off a good effort, the time away from home could be good for them or a major letdown...

I think the best I'm hoping for is 7 out of 14 pts... Anything more then that would be a bonus..

If the Jets can survive nov, I think they can be in okay shape for home cooking December.

Thoughts?

I think the factor of long road trips was overlooked by a lot of people who only looked at the total travel distance for the team. That was accomplished by a few of the road trips being really long, which cuts down on total distance at the expense of being away from home for an extended period of time. I think that's where the travel takes its toll.

If we score 1 or 2 goals per game... 1-6 for this road trip.

I hope we go 8-0-0

I hope for 10 points
I know it is a bit of a stretch
But if they think they can make the playoffs
that needs to happen

W vs PHILADELPHIA - Strong Start.
W vs TAMPA - Chase the goalie.
W vs FLORIDA - Confident.
L vs NYI - Overconfident.
L vs NJ - Squeeker
W vs NYR - Karma after last night.
OTL vs Buff - Tired.

My hope is a 4-2-1 road trip as above.

3-3-1.
I think we're trending up in terms of our play. I think we can sneak up on a few team.

We need to at least be 3-3-1. Survive the road trip, and get back home and put some wins together.

However, if Ladd, Wheeler and Little don't make meaningful offensive contributions, we are in for a long road trip.

Ideally we can come out of this road trip close to .500 through the 7 games. I am hoping for at least 3 wins out of this. But it won't be easy.

To me at this point, absolutely nothing else matters going forward if we cannot get offensive contributions from Ladd, Little, Kane, Wheeler.

I predict the top line gets 1 goal on the seven game road trip.

I'll be pretty happy if they go .500, looking at the teams they're up against I'll say it'll be 2-3-2.

The only team I don't think we can beat is Buffalo.

good avatar Guerzy and you were an early defender of Zack

This road trip will go a long way to defining the 1st half of our season and we will either take a step forward as a team or we will stay the same and our season could become a non playoff type year quickly. The most glaring stat to me currently is our goal differential at -10 (17 for 27 against) we are tied with Ottawa for the worst in the league. we need to flatten this stat out going forward or we will be a bottom 5 team. when we discuss this team developing a new identity I think we do that by tightening our team defense and or our 1st line gets going and we increase and balance our scoring (probably a blend of both).

6 points or more for me would be a win on this road trip but I will go out on a limb and say we go 2-4-1 on the trip and bring home 5 points (i just updated from 1-4-2). that would put our record at 4-9-3.

If Ladd Little and Wheeler can get > 14 points collectively on this road trip (2 per game) and we get Hainsey and Slater back we could go .500.....if our 1st line continues to struggle and Hainsey and Slater miss a bunch of the games then we might come home with less than 4 points

If they come home with five or less points it'll be a poor trip. Six or seven and it's fair, anything eight or more would be fantastic.

Thanks, ps241!

I'm not a super fan or anything .. but, I watched him play near every game in junior and feel pretty confident in his abilities going forward. Players with this much talent generally don't just fade away and from everything I know, Zach is very coachable. He's too good to not develop into a respectable talent, in my opinion.

2-4-1

Works for me. Entertain me and lose games in the quest for the acquisition of Nail Yakupov.

I expect some people are going complain about anything and everything on this road trip!

I like what I have seen so far. He is making fewer and fewer bad decisions and his defensive zone coverage is improving. He has been playing physical and with Stuart they form a tough duo and I think by throwing some hits it has improved his D zone play in that he isn't laying back and over thinking it he is taking it to them a bit more. also he has been really effective coming late into scrums and winning the battle for puck possession. Offensively more often than not now he will make that simple pass on the break out and is showing more patience and is not trying to do too much, and, when he does cut loose on occasion he is fun to watch. I like his work on the power play and he has hit a few posts and could easily have two or three goals. As the game slows down more for Bogo (which it has a bit this year already) and as his confidence grows (the biggest factor by far) I see his improvement curve being quite steep and fast. I have not seen a defenseman come into our building yet who skates as well as Zack.

One of the things I remember distinctly early in the year is when i was listening to Sirius XM NHL centre ice and the boys had a good interview with former play by play announcer for Atlanta and now Phoenix Matt McConnell and Matt's take was very good and he mentioned that Zack has basically had three coach's in his short career and one assistant he wasn't on speaking terms with and Matt felt that had slowed Zack's growth allot. then Matt made a really great point that stuck with me when he said "the good thing is you know with Zack he will be all in"! For a rookie fan who was getting to know our team that was music to my ears

on a side note I remember when we played the leafs how much their announcers (CBC ) chatted about Jake Gardiner and how well he is playing for a 21 year old defenseman and I was thinking hey Zack is the same age.

Mostly from watching live I just like Bogo and think he really wants it. He is pretty spirited and enthusiastic and his body language is positive with his fellow team mates.

I'm thinking the 2-3-2 is looking likely... personally I'd love to see them sweep all 7 games.

It will definitely depend on the Visor Line of Ladd-Little-Wheeler. Little needs to break out of his coma (can't call it a slump as he was never out of the slump this season). Wheeler is getting some chances and Ladd is getting to the right place (but sometimes facing the wrong way... argh soo close sometimes too).

We need to develop a decent third line... the constant changes now is disruptive to the team flow.

Is Hainsey making the trip? We need hiim healthy. Jones has shown some improvement over the last couple of games but it's still a bit of a nail biter when he is on the ice (nevermind when he touches the puck).

I agree and a reach would be 2-4-1 and not bad for where we are at currently
