USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil has decided to forego his senior season and seek entry into the 2012 NFL draft, sources have told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.
Kalil, a projected top-five pick, informed Trojans coach Lane Kiffin, other staff members and teammates of his decision to turn pro. Kalil has received numerous All-American honors this year.
The Rams and Vikes occupying the gap between the Colts and other teams needing a QB could make for one of the more interesting drafts in a long time. I'm rooting for them to lose for the intrigue. (and the Rams for another reason).
Archie Manning flip-flopped on his statement that Peyton and Luck couldn't coexist.

The NY Giants is wrong. Dallas is in 1st place. If you swap them I'm not sure if Chi moves back & NYG moves up.
Not to go way off topic but if the Vikings end up with the 1st pick and go with Luck, what's a realistic return for Ponder?
Sadly, barring Wilf firing Frazier and the front office, I cannot fathom the Vikings current management giving up on Ponder after one year.
We would net a nice return trading down... but that is still tough to pass on a potential franchise QB for.
Should Frazier, Spielman and crew be fired (not likely... but possible), then I suspect Ponder would carry a second plus change value. He wasn't a bluechip QB coming out and hasn't distinguished himself as one since. 2nd plus conditional pick (or the equivalent) is within reason.
Problem with that scenario: who would be interested? Ponder's marginal arm limits the offenses he can run, so it doesn't just have to be a team who needs a QB prospect, but one that emphasizes the short passing game.
