Everything there looks good besides for Holik on a scoring line, he is a checking and a defensive shut down center, thats why he has been inefective on NYR cause we put him on a scoring line

Klee is already a Leaf again...he signed for 2 years. What would the back of Glen Murray and Garth Murray's jersey say if they both did play for NY next season...

"Gl. Murray"
"Ga. Murray"

Or would they go with one "Murray" and one "G. Murray"?

Thats all well and good but I am not putting Dominic Moore as our 2nd line center.

And no, I will not sign any UFA's for that role.

Why not, you looking to win the cup or something?

I remember when the Rangers Don and Dave Maloney and they spelled out each name fully.

these are the lines i see sather/renney going with
rucinsky and mironov signed, both to 1 year deals

rucinsky-nylander-jagr
lundmark-holik-balej
murray-moore-ortmeyer
strudwick-betts-wiseman

kasper-poti
mironov-tyutin
rachunek-pock

weekes-dunham

sc: purinton, ?, ?

as for my lines (if i was gm/coach)
id sign rucinsky and mcammond (mcammond may play lw, but he can also play center which is very important should moore or helminen not be good enough in camp mcammond gets the 3rd line center job)
id then trade purinton out west for a late or conditional pick

rucinsky-nylander-jagr
lundmark-holik-balej
mcammond-moore-ortmeyer
murray-betts-wiseman

kasper-tyutin
rachunek-poti
lampman-pock

weekes-dunham

sc: strudwick, giroux, and ?

Cause I will not put a prospect in a position to fail and will keep prospects in their roles.

Moore is and will not be a 2nd line center.

And if I was looking to win the cup smart ass, I wouldnt have Schatslivy and Nylander on the 1st line, Holik on a scoring line, 4 rookies on defense and trading Poti.

I like Jan's lines and also like bringing back Rosie for Nylander's left.

I doubt this season if there is any at all will be an 82 game schedule so smart management will take advantage of a lockout shortened season if they finnally resolve this come January and use this year to ride the kids and let them get the kinks out with some heavy doses of meaningful minutes at the NHL level and with an extremely deep draft coming up we will be served twofold in that we're letting our kids get the experience they so desperately need and we assure ourselves with some highend picks once again next year to help speed along the rebuilding process.

You really don't know if he will fail, you're guessing.

Read any scouting report. Read any interview with anyone in the organization. Watch games that Moore has played in. Then come back to me and tell me he has a good chance of not only being a 2nd line center in the NHL, but being a good enough one to deserve 15-17 minutes a game.

I will wait.

The Grind Line is still the best third line in the NHL.

Gotta make new lines now. Dawes is on the team. That throws a wrench into things. 3rd line, 2nd?? No Ruchinsky? Lundmark 1st line LW? Very interesting. Hmmm.
