So you want to trade a big physical D, that will go toe to toe to protect his teammates for a soft D, especially when EDM is load with soft puck moving D. Montreal and others would give a lot more for Peckham. Your reasoning doesn't make sense. As to Omark, if EDM need a D like Franson, I couldn't kick Omarks butt on to the plane fast enough, but they don't.
Trading for Franson hurts EDM, more then it helps IMO.
Being big, physical, and going toe-to-toe to protect teammates are not qualities which win games.
There's little, or more realistically none at all, correlation to hits per team and winning. Same thing with PIMs.
I have to look up Franson's advanced stats, but I seem to recall that he's pretty useful out there, regardless of how "soft" he is. Soft is a stupid argument. Lidstrom is classically definable as "soft"...but so what?
Absolutely not. Not sure why people decide to throw in Bozak as if he was trash. He slots into our 3rd line perfectly, and has been solid so far this season. AK wouldn't fit anywhere on the Leafs lineup.
...he is top 9/6 forward more 6 than 9....he would fit anywhere on the leafs lineup
seriously, i'm not expecting anything good for him. I'll take a 3rd honestly, or maybe some pwf prospect. We should at least see if he is as consistently horrible on the ice as komisarek, if he isn't, then I'll take the extra 7+ wins, and have komisarek scratched forever.
