The usual gripes because we lose a game. If you expected an easy series or a sweep, you were delusional. This is a dogfight where one bounce at either end can determine a game. We got the bounces in game one, they did in game two. Off a pipe, through the crease without deflecting, off a skate ... how those bounces go is determining the outcomes. A rather predictable split of the first two games with both teams having chances to win the won they didn't.
The Wings last won the Cup in 2008. At least get that little fact right. If you don't know ... use Google.
I think we take game 3. The hockey gods were on the Wings side tonight. AK hits a post which would've tied the game late. Oh well, Sucks that my $150 ticket let me see a loss. However, if you were at the game and didn't have a good time then it's nobody's fault but your own. The Bridge was rocking!

The only negative thing a got is something needs to be done with SK. If he is not going to play like a top 3 forward he needs to be moved down to a grinding line or scratched. I am so sick of him losing the puck or skating into the zone and instead of taking a shot stops and gets destroyed while trying to pass it like the fn puck is burning his stick.

Just a small correction- Boston swept Philadelphia in the conference semi-finals, but your point is a valid one.
Not only did all of their other series go 7, but:
* they lost the first two at home to Montreal in the quarterfinals, scoring one goal in the two games combined.
* they also lost game 1 at home to TB in the conf finals.
* and finally, were down 0-2 to Vancouver in the Stanley Cup finals.
Point being- its a long, long haul- we are still in very good shape

I think there was something he done. He didn't get much playing time in the third. Hornqvist took his place alongside Erat and Fisher and Gaustad moved up to play with Bourque and Spaling. That's what I remember anyway.
I think the one on two where he tried to make some moves and not get a shot off is the last time I saw him. Trotz was not happy is my guess and I was screaming shooting the f'in puck. Maybe he got the message and he comes out with some passion tomorrow.

I think it's a partial myth that this team is loaded with offensive talent.
In reality, Fisher was a 3rd line center on a bad Ottawa team. SK was deemed expendable (and worth very little in trade) to a bad Montreal team. AK was a non-producing entity on a bad Montreal team. We won't get into Legwand.
We have more offensive talent than before (Radulov is the big wildcard), but still it pails in comparison to loaded teams like Philly, Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Chicago and to a lesser extent LAK, Detroit, others.
Trotz is a big reason we are where are, but I don't like his complacency with lines right now when they aren't clicking.
I do like the lines you have and hope to see a change, especially to our "top line".

The enemy gets a vote in every battle, and we're up against a very good team. Total goals are even for the entire season between us and the Wings. Both games came down to a puck deflected in the crease, one went our way, one against.
Fact is we just have to beat them. If are team could play fast and hard the way the Coyotes have played against Chicago with are defense we could blow Detroit out.

History was on my side. We've taken the Wings to six every time ... only the Sharks ever held us to five. Honestly, these teams are far too evenly matched for me to expect only one win in a series against them.
