Hockey Central's Take on Your Team

A month or so back someone started a thread (here) saying how boring the Oilers are. Well...

Hockey Central is raving today and how exciting Hall and your team is - saying he is more exciting than OV.

Nice to be an Oiler fans nowadays.

I am listening to them on the radio and heard it. I was just thinking "Wow, the kids (Oilers) are the talk of the NHL so far this season". Now, we just need that #1 franchise Dman.

LOL! Everytime I say you guys need a new D-Man in this forum I get my head taken off. I get the :

`We have Whitney Dammit! We have Gilbert... 2 Olympic D-Men`

and I, not looking for a fight, bow out. But I think... `Whitney and Gilbert? Eeeekkk!!!`

P.S.

Does anyone think Brad May is the WORST hockey commentator in Canada?

I cannot watch when he is on. I always turn to That`s Hockey 2Night.

Textbook pandering.

Gotta find some way to keep people tuned in more than 30 seconds before and after the game.

I can't imagine any Oiler fans saying that about Gilbert

He's been solid this year but he has been reviled by most fans for quite a while now.

Gotta find someway to get you to watch other teams.

A couple boring games against Minnesota. Wow, that's unheard of.

Nothing wrong with Whitney. He's not elite, but he's still a #1 and we have Smid/Gilbert as a very good 2nd pairing. We all know we need another top pairing guy. We can possibly get one next year, or use Potter as a stop gap til one of Petry, Marincin, Klefbom etc is hopefully ready

You mean analyst? All of Sportsnet's crew sucks now. CBC sucks too. Only TSN is alright. Hell, even Pierre McGuire>>>Sportsnet and CBC.

Just saw the Video on the sportsnet.ca website. I think they love Hall more than we do.

The oilers are hardly the most exciting team to watch in the NHL imo.
I love watching teams trade chances and giveup/create odd man rushes - the oilers dont do this very often at all.

Your honor, I'd like to call a Sportsnet commentator to the stand...What do you mean, "Not a chance in hell"? Please stop laughing at me, your honor.

I think Washington and Pittsburgh when they have Crosby are amongst the most exciting teams today.

First point, I'll take winning over excitement. Yes, both would be excellent but winning...um, wins.

Secondly, some of us on here said that it was far too early to label the Oilers of two weeks ago as boring as ****. Thye'll get more exciting as the offense develops and as the kids get better.
