Unlike everyone else. I'm still 100% positive this is going to be a rebuilding year for this franchise so I haven't invested nor received all the "woe is me" problems this year. Can we make the playoffs? Sure, but I'm very much certain we're going to be working on building our young talent (Craig Smith, Colin Wilson, Blake Geoffrion, and Blum) while we shore up our Big 3 in contracts and perhaps add some offensive firepower around the deadline for a multiyear deal. Either way, should be a fun season, but I doubt we'll be a premier team this year..just don't see it. I realize 99% of you felt that this was "our season" and feel robbed by the lack of production thus far, but it could be much worse for us.

I agree, but as a fan base we don't really know what it's like to be losing more than we win. We wouldn't know if it couldn't get much worse if we were looking it in the face.
However, in the spirit of this topic: I'm extremely happy that we aren't Columbus.
This hasn't been a strong team at the start of the season for a while. It's just how this team always gets out of the gate. .500 hockey at this point is normal ... now if they can just string together a few decent periods of hockey in a row we might see some improvement in the standings and hear a collective deep breath from the board citizens.

Ten games in, 11 points, 2nd in the division (pending Det's 10th game), and playing decent hockey in the last two games. Another typical start to a Predators season.
I'm positive that tonight will be the first time I'll ever root for Columbus. I would love for Anaheim to lose to them.
Now that you mention it, me too.
I don't want Columbus to move (which could happen if this record continues). While I hate them since they're a rival, they aren't dirty or anything, and they are fun to beat up on. I like having them in our division. makes for some good, fun hockey.

Yeah, Columbus just annoys me. Kind of like Detroit, except they aren't good. Anaheim is on Vancouver's level.
