Nothing more than 4th line center, but I think he is better than Brad Mills.

I don't know if he actually is better than Mills. Millsy is pretty good at what he does

Of course, you can be right. We will see what he can do for the Devils.

I'm so confused, unless it's to replace Henrique in the minors.

He has to clear waivers again and FLA will probably claim him unless they just don't care.

Out of all the Panther players this year, new and current, he certainly was the worst of the bunch. Good luck to him, but I am glad he is gone, because he was holding back our 4th line

Carter was a 4th line plug for the Canes last year. Good guy, kind of a space-filler.

He came to Panthers at the deadline last year and really showed some jump on the 4th line and was hitting everything in sight. He suffered a minor concussion in April and was out the rest of the season. This season he didn't have the same jump to his game and was the worst player on the team IMO.
DeBoer really liked his play, so it makes sense the Devils claimed him.
Good luck in NJ Ryan!

Meh, if he can win a few faceoffs and look competent out there then I have no problems.

Sheldon Brookbank 2.0.

"Carter, who had been centering the fourth line, had no points in seven games but was among the team leaders in hits (12) and faceoff percentage (46.2)."

He's not bad taking faceoffs.

Mills is pretty good taking faceoffs. Carter will just be another body they throw in there when our two enforcers are injured. You know sooner or later Janssen is gonna hurt his hand punching someone. He can't possibly score less than Cam.
