I have no clue how LA are winning this, but yay! If they just play smart hockey and stay out of the box then they can wrap this up in the 3rd.

its his effort and hustle. There is no doubting his talent is decent enough, its just that you can go entire games where you dont even realise he is playing until you see after the game that he was

Let's look at this in 5 seasons - if they don't win RIGHT NOW (or in the next 2 seasons), are you willing to admit that the Kings were wrong?

Simmonds averages 60+ points a season only in his dreams.

Two players can't play one position. Quality >>> quantity.

What makes you think that the window closes for this team in 2 years?

How long have you been watching hockey? You know points aren't everything. I'm saying this as one of Simmonds biggest fans, currently he is a passenger on the line he is playing on. Richards is the anchor of his line.

We now know what was written on TM's board before the game, "Score, Penalty, Score Penalty! Do it NOW!"

You do realize Simmonds doesn't have more points than him, correct?

where does he play though. If he was a lefty, i could see him taken A-Marts spot, but he isnt which makes things awkward. I imagine he will be sent down with the hope/expectation that JJ can partner Drew next year, then VV can play alongside Scuderi

Umm no? The Kings finally have a position shored up that they've needed for a very long time. Schenn can only hope to be as good as Richards.

The Kings are a better team with Richards.

Are you saying Brown had a movement on the powerplay?

It wasn't lucky, he knew exactly what he was doing. Give credit where credit is due.

And what if Schenn is a complete bust? Oh and Simmonds will never be at Richard's level.

Congrats to Slava, kid is a stud. I hope they don't send him down when DD comes back, he is working wonders on the PP with Johnson.

That would be nice to see but it ain't gonna happen. It's all piss and moan when he makes a play they deem dumb but he makes a good play and its all crickets.

Voynov looking good out there. Sucks that it is his last game.

Penner with some nice passes. Gagne was in too deep on that chance.

Some strange penalty calls tonight.

Go Kings!

I hope VV stays with us as well. Brown looks a lot better now. I've got to give him credit for shaking off that crappy game he was building.

Still stand by my statement of keeping Voynov up and sitting Greene. All that Greene has on VV is toughness. Voynov is smarter, faster, better offensive instincts, etc. He's just a better hockey player than Greene. Period. VV has taken the PP to a new dimension.

edit: Or, if possible, trade Greene.

Much much better period against a good opposition. Keep up the intensity and lets put this baby to bed.

I texted my friend complimenting Brown on that play. Sorry I didn't post here so you could keep tabs.
