Wandell needs to be used more on the PK. Ribs is still playing almost a minute a game shorthanded. Give that time to Wandell and keep Ribs fresh.

I hope Fistric plays also. Pardy didn't look very good in Phoenix. Goligoski also seems to be struggling playing with him.

Fistric's out tonight. I agree, I wasn't that impressed with Pardy either.

Ladies and Gents, this is one regular season Stars game that I couldn't care less about.

Go Rangers!

Dallas wins it 1-0 in the SO in the 29th pairing when Souray puts the game's first puck in to the net with a huge slapshot from the blueline and it goes thru the glove of Quick.

Stars >>>>>> Anything else in sports, except national team

Well, Pardy saved us that one sure goal in the past game in a way only Kari can do it. That alone justifies his nomination. Got a penalty but otherwise he's been pretty solid so far throughout the season IMO. But I agree, I would love to see more of Fistric and his physical presence.

Furthermore quiet and patiently waiting to see Goli with Souray on PP1...IIRC the only time they were paired together was in a 4on3 PP.

Just curious, isn't it possible for us to win but Quick still gets credit for a SO?

We have to take it to the shootout, of course, but just wondering if it would still count for him.

Yes it will.

Turco had that happen in his last season with us I believe. Could've bee the season prior to that one. Happened a couple of times in fact.

But yep, 0-0 after OT, both goalies get the shut out.

For some reason I don't believe that one. They may get the perfect save percentage and GAA, but I don't believe it counts as a shutout. If they do it just seems wrong.

They do. Its like the league is admitting the shootout is b.s. so they dont want to punish the goalies.

That's the the league does it.

The Jan 12, 2010 NYR vs BOS game went to a shootout. Rangers lost, Lundqvist received an OT loss on his record but still got the shutout.

I don't see why it shouldn't. I mean, they kept the puck out of the net for 65 minutes. It should be worth it IMO.

Also, OT, but I think it'd be pretty cool if they started doing (in the playoffs, obviously) where if it goes to a 4th OT, both goalies get a SO. So in theory, you could get two in a game (infinite, actually, but we're assuming it doesn't go past the 6th OT). It'll never happen, but they sure do deserve it.

Watch this game end up being a blowout, 7-6 Kings in the SO.

Why wouldn't it?

Nothing in the shoot out means anything stat wise. Only reason it's there is to decide who gets the extra point.

If anything, it just shows how pointless the shoot out is.
