10/27/11 - 8:00PM EDT - Tampa Bay @ Nashville

ARENA: Bridgestone Arena, Nashville
TV: SUN
RADIO: 970 WFLA
STREAMS:

GUY BOUCHER:
Quote:
  • "I told him (Wednesday), Congratulations. You've done the easy part. Now you're an NHL player. This is a performance league. It's not a development league. We make decisions in terms of performance; therefore, you have to be accountable like everybody else. You can't be just a new kid.' "
BRETT CONNOLLY:
Quote:
  • "You have to perform every night. Even (Wednesday) in practice I could tell they were like, 'Okay, you've had your treatment like a 19-year-old.' They're going to treat you like a veteran. Obviously, Guy is going to be hard on me, so you have to adapt again.''
Quote:
  • "I've accomplished everything I wanted going into the summer. I have to take it a step further to be a contributor and a good NHLer."

LET'S GO BOLTS!

If they're going with the same lineup again, poor Ryan Shannon. It was just supposed to be one game where he could learn the system from the GB Pressbox Experience.

I guess the Preds cold snap is good for us, if we take advantage of it.

Erat is injured. Hornqvist didn't practice yesterday, not that he's put up any points yet.

O'Reilly is also day-to-day with a groin thing.

He's been playing well, regardless of Roloson's situation, so I'd say we're probably sticking with the hot hand.

Shannon's head must be spinning with all the BS he get before he signed, after he signed, during a good pre-season, the 5 games where he played well but now has to "learn the system" (more BS), from SY and GB. It's a tough MFing business.

Why change anything when the team is on a roll. I dont care if Shannon knows the system inside and out right now you dont change anything until you lose again. Period.

And Woooohoooo got promoted back to the 2nd line!

Nashville is great defensively but offensively starved. If we can get our normal 3 goals tonight I think we should win no problem. Gotta keep on them though and limit the mistakes.

Shannon will simply have to earn it is all. If he earns it in practices and morning skates, he'll get the start. I'll defer to the coach's judgement on who is playing better. He doesn't fit in the role that Connolly has been doing for 26/4/14 line. Realistically, he'd replace Pyatt, but there is no reason to remove Pyatt from the lineup. Fact is, we're winning with the lineup that we've put on the ice. Messing with that because you want to soothe the psyche of Ritola or Shannon or Gervais is stupid.

If they can't handle sitting when the team is winning, they're not NHL players. I would bet real money that they all want to be playing, but they can't be angry at anyone because they're not. Patience, they'll play. Long season left still.

Ok so I know we usually loss against the Preds but I like our chances this time.

Anyway, I think putting Shannon in the line-up or Roloson in net would not be a bad idea.

I would also like to see shannon back in the lineup, I thought he played well before the scratches. With boucher's preference to go with 7 dmen, he could be two men deep on the depth chart when ohlund returns.

We haven't gone with 7d all season, even the pre-season.

It seems to me that 7d becomes an option when Boucher feels that everyone otherwise has a grasp on the system, because with 7d, a whole new set of things are being thrown in, and if the system isn't understood, then having uneven lines and pairings just makes it all the more confusing.

It's more like advanced Bouchenomics, instead of intermediate, where we currently seem to be.

That may also be why we (read: at least I) hated 7D when he first used it, but once the team really starting clicking after Roloson settled in, and then compounded shortly after Brewer was acquired, it became nearly unstoppable.

I'm surprised as Roloson's start, but good call to stick with Garon.

I don't mind what line I play on because I'll eventually end up in the penalty box based on my name alone.

Insanity Downie?

What makes it extra funny is that he's responding to people criticizing his previous tweet.
