I heard Green was supposed to make the trip - did he not go?

Green made the trip per Whyno. Too much of a pain to link it on my phone.

green might watch in EDM but my personal take based on everything i heard and read is that it seems very unlikely he'll play in EDM. quite possibly in vancouver, tho, if the swelling goes down...either way i guess we'll find out soon enough.

as long as only one of the three is out, the caps are fine. it means a jump in minutes for wideman and a bump in pp time for carlson. its just a shame that green might miss after really hitting his stride.

bright side the schedule is being helpful. he has not even missed a game yet.

i say that because i noticed that the penguins are in first place in the east based entirely on playing 4 more games than the capitals. they have 11 in the books already while crosby and malkin are not playing.

Hey whats the word on Erskine? Shoulder surgery in the offseason right? What is the timetable to get him back, and who is he competing with for minutes when he does? The Double Nickle?

Sounds like he's about getting it checked by doctors almost every week to get cleared for contact but 'sounds like' he is getting close. I assume competition with 55 barring injuries to the other dmen.

Anyone know of any reason why this game would be showing as blacked out on Direct TV Center Ice? May just be a problem with their guide but living in SoCal, there's no reason this game shouldn't be on CI.

It showed up on my online directory but couldn't record it as the response was "requested show not found". Not sure why or if it will be resolved by the time the game starts.

Must be a left coast thing as it let me set it up to record in NC. At least I hope that's the case.

Love the west coast games as it fits perfectly into my schedule. Should be a fun game. Figure the caps will be slow starters considering the layoff.

Not all of us are vampires like some of you guys! I will be suffering for work tomorrow but am determined to watch every minute tonight.

I expect no let down from the Caps. They are saying all the right things and have a very serious approach this year in comparison to years past.

Will miss Green for certain.

Well I hope he returns soon simply for the grit he provides on the blue line. Grit that is sorely needed for the long haul, IMO.

Edmonton is young and fast. The keys to winning will be to contain their speed and control the tempo of the game. Some early momentum and continued pressure is vital to disrupt their play.

That said, let's go Caps!

I love the late start time. It means I get to see my concert at the new fillmore and still get back for the 3rd period. Just win!

Best of luck this season(just not tonight). I think this is your year. Time for a Caps Cup.

I've decided I'm going to embrace the juggernaut-like start to the year from our team. I think 82-0 is not unrealistic at this point. I was mildly skeptical until I watched the demolition jobs they worked on the Flyers and Wings last week. We'll see how the rest of the season and playoffs go, but I'm going to go Grabowski the rest of the way. As an ex-Chicagoan I have that right.

Prediction for tonight, Caps win 147-0. The only way it stays close is if Edmonton puts something in their hotel food and shrinks the team down to miniatures or something. In that case, mini-Caps still win but it will be closer, like 4-2.

Good to see you appreciate humor. If Bruce had said that about a Pens player the Pittsburgh fanbase would be calling him fat right about now.

Will watch the first half of the UVa game, it'll be ugly, and I'll turn on the Caps game and watch until it ends. Perfect timing.
