Prove me wrong guys.

Wow, unbelievable baseball game.
For real. The heroics reminds me of Kirby Puckett's during the 1991 WS. I feel bad for Texas though.

I'm not sure if we would have won the game without the penalties (Khabibulin and the Oiler's PK were playing well) but I would have been a lot less frustrated. It's never fun when the refs get this involved in a game.

Oh well, I'd rather that the officiating failures come in the regular season rather in the playoffs.

You guys probably deserved to win, the refs probably didn't want to see the Oil get a high pick. You guys played great, good luck for the rest of the season, and destroy the 'nucks on Saturday please. We'll see what we can do about the Avs.

Cheers.

Meh, I'll take UVa winning if it means the Caps lose.

Caught the third, and there are at least 2 Oilers who are going to be hearing from Shanny tomorrow.

Good luck to you guys! Bunch of great young talent that is already playing well and new arena on the way.

Huh? Sutton did give a little extra on that roughing call, but I don't see any reason for a Shanny visit in that or anything else in the 3rd.

Oh well, at least the idea that Canadians are a kind and hospitable group was reinforced tonight by the Oiler fans that stopped by.

Still as pleased as I am with the Caps hustle, effort, and urgency they still have to find a way to beat those hot goaltenders. Vokoun can't steal every game.

Maybe the elbow to Johansson? That's the only other thing I can think of.

How validating would that be to have a player suspended on a missed call? Lol.

Smid's elbow to the head on Mojo will get looked at, and the Sutton hit on Hendricks was very VERY dirty.

Drats. Oh well, the Sutton hit on Hendricks should at least generate a phone call, but not a suspension. Maybe a fine for both players would be appropriate.

I'm not sure Smid will get anything. Sutton should get plenty. He's a piece of filth. We all know it.

Sutton would get the phone call for the head shot on Hendricks.

I don't feel bad for them. They stole the old Senators, their town roots for the Cowboys, and the Mavs already won the NBA championshiip.

Some chintzy ref calls (the horcoff hook was bogus, but we never punished you for that one, so let bygones be bygones, eh?). Bulin stood on his head in the 3rd. Washington was falling apart in the 2nd, can't do that against the stingiest team in the league

Same game another night maybe you beat us 5-2, but ya, Bulin had your number, and it's nice having 3 players aged 18, 19 and 21 at a point per game . GG Caps, hopefully we meet in the finals sometime soonish

Bummer, but the Caps put on a 5 on 5 clinic in the third.
